He is well balanced and mentally strong player. He won McManus and Robertson in matches with good attack and breaks (including centuries). But against Ronnie this tactics would be absolutely wrong! So Mark applied his 'game B'. Ronnie likes fast game and when position opens quickly. But Mark didn't give him neither the first nor the second. Was is not so spectacular?! But this was not spectacle for Selby. It was 'mortal kombat' for him, and he wanted to win this match, not to demonstrate you big breaks! He applied all legal snooker techniques, showed steel character and he won!!!

Selby was way behinde then he pulled a Peter Ebdon on Ronnie Look at his game up to Final,in final he took 4 or five times 1 1/2 minuts thinking breaks,he never did that up to final-knowing how much when Ebdon did that it fucked up Ronnies game

The guy is made from granite and probably the greatest all round snooker player there has ever been and can overtake all the greats one day and become the greatest player of all time. Probably hot favourite for this year's men's world championships after the way he defended his China Open plus he has another 10 year career left in front of him and the way he plays at the crucible for the past 4 years or so and winning the China open he is basically unplayable.
I have never seen a world champion, win a world shampionship without making at leat a score of 100, at least. This seem very odd,. English is not my language excuse the mistakes, but something was realy odd in the whole game, the behavior and the game of o Sullivan where nil, he did not play at all, he beat all teh other players to reach the final, with at least 5 frames, i saw this man play hundred of times, never i have seen him play so wrong and badly, missing very easy balls, a beginner do not miss. I am angry and desapointed, very... was this game fixed in advance, i realy beleive so, o way Seby can beat O Sullivan, no way. he lost this final in purpose, no other explanation, for people who are aware of this game. O Sullivan played as a debutant, he was another man at the crucible, a man who lost because he wanted so, no more.

In the world of snooker, everybody can beat anybody. And Mark Selby isn't just somebody. He has beaten Ronnie in the past(don't forget the two Masters' finals they met) and he will surely beat him again in the future. Ronnie is arguably the most naturally gifted player the game has ever seen but that doesn't make him invincible. And keep in mind that last year he became the oldest man to win the Championship. And now he is one year older, he is 38. You just can't expect him to win every final he is in, for ever. There is a tough competition out there.

selby has now moved up in class and joined the ranks of peter ebdon, and cliff thourburn. there hard players to play against. the final was a real boring affair for the most part selby got away with so many shots and left Ronnie nothing the amount of frames won with breaks of 30 or less was shocking for top class players and its to selbys shame he brought the game down to that level, anyone can play negative snooker and take shots on that will either knock colours off there spots or just run away leaving no chances but it comes at a price as it makes the game boring, i am not a huge fan of ronnie but i do love how he plays the game, i hope we dont end up with a complete world championship in future years full of players like selby, ebdon thourburn etc as the game will die
RoS certainly gets the sympathy vote on YT , he is outside the Top 25 rankings and he was only at the WChampionships on his previous performance as last years winner and that was a fiasco is he playing isn't he playing. He only has respect for himself and none for other players and his Fans.

I think he's just suffering from being human. We can't always be at our best. I'm frustrated too but it's just life and Selby was solid.
