Thank you for your excellent work Sir....I don't really know what's involved but it seems like a lot of work to split the commentary from the pictures and drop full sentences in the right place uninterrupted....it makes it such a pleasure! Thanks again Cesar.

I Grew up with billiard tables and have been a student of the various games all my life. My hero was a man named Willie Moscone who in March of 1954 ran more than 35 consecutive racks playing straight pool in an exhibition (526 balls to be exact) a record which stands to this day. That said, as an American I didn't really become interested in Snooker until a few years ago. In that time I've seen Ronnie Sullivan play a number of matches and have come to the conclusion that I suspect most, If not all Snooker fans already know. Regardless of table size or game being played, Ronnie Sullivan is the best "billiard" player who's ever lived.

Thank you for yet another great presentation Cesar :) That was an amazing match to watch.
I am at a loss for words as to to why Snooker tournaments have still not decided to incorporate technology in the game, like a review system with high speed cameras for deciding those close call foul moments. Cricket uses DRS, so why not Snooker? These are high stake games and a bad decision can ruin the fate of a player or side.

    1) I couldn't see the brown move, but if others are sure... 2) To my eye it DEFINITELY hit the red first (even though, watching normally the first time, I thought it could have been the black. 3) And yes, AWESOME clearance. Thanks for bringing this all to us.

      1. Brown wiggled a bit.
      2. From camera's point of view (which is our POV) red is in front of black. Impossible for cue ball to make contact with black first before making contact with red.

Cesar edits are the best if you're gonna watch an abbreviated match. I still like the full match with all the setup and pondering, but when I don't have time for that Cesar knocks it out of the park.
On a separate note... it just seemed like these tables played a bit odd. Ronnie was not the only one having trouble with position. It seemed something like the rails were a little dead, but the table itself was fast... which led to some very puzzling leaves for everybody.

49:24 When I saw this live, I really looked forward to your analysis. I don't believe it was a foul either. If it hit black first, cue ball should then move upwards to the left of the screen as we look - correct? So no foul. Wrong call by the ref. Am I understanding correctly?
Also, whether or not the ref made the right call, they were WAY too hasty with that decision. A situation like that deserves SO much more attention than it was given.

He may not have played for a while, but maybe he can play in his mind, remembering the sequence of a whole game and how he might have made even better choices. The really smart writers and detectives - even occasionally politicians - have 'private', personal' ways of continuing to work when they may just be sitting at home They're like Eagles who sit and wait for a hour before even starting to hunt. I watched the red and black contact dispute in the big screen and it was a hundrith of a second difference in the red's favor. In the refs defense he would not be able to see the contacts accurately without standing right over the balls. This again is why they should have a camera with twice the frames per second and then no doubt would exist. Plus both players are probably the most honest players in the league. That goes a long way in my books.

Great editing. Puts many others to shame. I thought snooker was finished as I get no recommendations since blocking some horrible channels unconcerned about good content. Would like to have seen highlights of the earlier frames however also. Mark is a real pro and such a fair sportsman, even asking Ronnie's opinion over the referrees. Both times Ronnie tasked him he got it wrong but was so close it made it a tough call even with the slo mo replay. At least he was a gentleman conferring and reversing the first decision but not the second perhaps.

When I was refereeing and a hit was likely to be close or suspicious I did not watch the contact at all, as the edit suggested in a text observation, he noted that the cue ball would have travelled one way if the contact was correct and another way if it was a foul. That is the way to solve those riddles IE, how did the cueball travel after contact. You can mentally determine how the cue ball will travel with a legit hit, even one that is miniscule in the differance. Mr. Muroya is absolutely correct in that observation. The Ref has done several questionable calls in this match and I would be checking his bank account after that match.

At 45:45 Ref SUCKS to call Ronnie for a foul when not only did Ronnie NOT foul, but then says “100% I hit it.” And Ronnie has never lied in his career about calls like this!!! He has ALWAYS been honest to a fault - often times calling fouls ON HIMSELF when it benefited his opponent!! 🤬
But the bigger issue was the PATHETIC WAY the Ref watched the shot!! He watched from behind then BASED his call on whether the balls were touching!! 😱 When he looked closely and saw they STILL weren’t touching, then and only THEN did he call the foul!! WTF?!? The foul must be called ON THE SHOT fool - not where the balls REST AFTER the shot. Did this idiot actually go to school for this job?!? Ref should have watched the BALLS ON THE SHOT to watch for CONTACT 🤬 - it was obvious it moved!! Wake up and open your eyes man!! It’s your job and was such a crucial point in the match!! 🤬💪
