  • There are so many noise reduction plug-ins out there - Cedar DNS, iZotope RX, Accentize dxRevive, Acon Dialogue, but I found a FREE one that comes with Pro Tools Ultimate!

Bertom Denoiser is a great solution as well for people who are familiar with the Cedar workflow!

Don't forget to do the video I requested :) the one about how to finalize the film mix, Lufs, what to do when it's too loud etc..

I would love something like this, there nothing like that in YT nor google in general.

A workflow that I’ve found useful for setting these kind of processors up quickly with minimum damage to the signal:
    1. Set all bands to maximum reduction
    2. Set the threshold low enough that the dialog is basically unaffected, but high enough that background noise is still being reduced effectively and doesn’t pump excessively (can be tricky with loud/very dynamic noise).
    3. Set all bands to 0 reduction, play the clip in context with all other sounds and pull down the reduction until the noise is no longer an issue.
A favourite of mine for real time Cedar-style NR is the free Bertom Denoiser. It’s light on the CPU, sounds great and has a HF bias toggle which lowers the threshold for high frequencies. There’s a paid upgrade (about 25$) which adds individual thresholds for all bands. I haven’t found the need for it since the HF bias works so well, and it’s way easier and quicker to set 1 threshold instead or 5.
Thanks for all that you do for the community Tom!

Nice. I have RX, but I'll try this on Waves C4 as well.

I think you might need subtitles for this dialogue not 'noise' reduction.
