Alot of older American born Koreans, or even around Jay’s age use old ass Koreans or sound like grandparents when they try to speak Korean because that is who they learned from. When they go to Korea now days, people usually get shocked at their vocabulary lol. This is the equivalent of a young person speaking like someone from the 50s in english
We used to “byun so” in our family. I never heard of the other terms before. We all learned Korean from my mom who was born during the Korean War and immigrated during the early 70s. This explains a lot.

The film could either be a parody biopic like Walk Hard or a serious biopic, I think Bobby would kill it either way.
Please do a motherland trip for Bobby and vlog it! Amazing meals, esports, temple stay, fried chicken on the Han river, KBBQ in the forest mountains w/ feet in a stream, haenyos in Jeju islands, hip hop scene, etc. Get a local guide/host for each episode to explain things. 'Byunso' is a quite old Korean term meaning bathroom. So Bobby's mum said it correctly and Bobby pronounced it correctly.
