Oooooohhh I would love to see a food storage vid. What food do you keep in the car? Do you buy food daily, or do you keep some dry goods? What about a cooler with perishables? Thanks Katie!
I've been living in my Nissan Murano for 3 weeks working 50 hours a week where I have to show up. Its saved me tons of money. I must say though nobody would follow any video I made due to every morning waking up looking like Medusa yet worse! Still worth it💜
Girl I used to live in our vehicle too. I wish I had known about those pins. We used to stuff towels down in the gasket by the window. Or drape a towel over the window and shut the door on it. I cannot tell you how many times I woke up soaking wet because it started raining in Tennessee and if you've ever been to West Tennessee you will know it rains a lot that's why it's so green and beautiful here. But the towels would absorb the rain water and then start dripping on me. Even now living in an apartment me and my husband talk about how comfortable and peaceful it was living in the van versus actually living in an apartment. I told him when we buy our own house the in the backyard or even in the woods that we're going to put a vehicle back there just so we can get away from everything LOL
the way I change my shirt in a car is this: I take the new shirt and I’ll put it over my head, but I won’t put my arms through. I’m completely covered. then, I will take my arms out of the sleeves of the old shirt and pull it up to my shoulders. then I put my arms in the sleeves of the new shirt. at this point, I am then able to pull the old shirt out through the head-hole of my new shirt and that’s it! hard to explain but it works and no one sees anything.
Serious question... what would be the MASSIVE rush to get a shirt on if you're far away from other people and cars? I don't live in my car but I've changed in my car plenty of times and I guess I just don't understand what the big hurry is and what all that extensive planning is for? Not trying to be a bitch... just really trying to understand!
I see alot of judgemental comments but some people are just plain wrong. I lived in a car for a month but it was a choice. I got the BEST sleep I've ever gotten and woke up without back pain for once. It becomes an adventure to literally visit a new area everyday. Not everyone does it because they're financially struggling
I don't really have any advice other than I like the fact that you in your videos end off with Love Of Christ and also with you reflecting love too people. You are amazing young woman just be safe out there and continue to give us the stories and the journey 😊
Honestly, I wouldn't be able to live like this. It's amazing that you find it comfortable and like living in your car. I actually find it cool and interesting, not hating. You do you :)
No one chooses to live in their car. Their's something happening behind the scenes that she's not telling us. No one chooses to live like this. No bathroom, no shower, no stove, no space, no washer and dryer. Not to mention it's dangerous.
Love your new glasses. What kind of customer service, boy I’d love to get a job like that. I’ve done it at an office but would love to do it from home (or car). You’re adorable!!
I lived out of my car for like 6-8 months (w/my cat) because I would be traveling a lot back and forth between CA and NV. It was kind of like an adventure. And Zoey, my cat, liked the car rides. I had set up her carrier in the back seat with a cat bed strapped ontop so she could look out the window while we drove. I had the carrier strapped in and the front passenger seat leaning back against it to anchor it in. She had a covered litter box in the back (the flooring lined with trash bags) strapped inyo my cargo rings in my trunk (i had a hatch back). But she usually waited until she could go out to go. Id go to a park sometimes while I would work on my laptop or make calls, etc. I'd crack the back door open so she could go out to play, climb a tree, etc. Or Id get out too and play with her. She never went out of my line of sight.. I'd call her back after maybe an hour or so and she'd hop back in the car. Her favorite was going into Petsmart to watch the bird enclosures. She wore a harness when traveling or when she was out of the car. I went to the gym to shower and work out (which is when Zoey would usually go play and explore the park next door (she was an indoor/outdoor cat anyway)). I often would park overnight in hospital parking lots, or at rest stops (of course) when traveling. It was an interesting adventurous time in my life, for sure.
I lived in my car with my cat for two months, alternating sleeping in the car and camping in a tent, and I don't think my cat's ever been happier X-D He never once got lost, always knew where to come find me in the morning after spending the night hunting and having fun discovering a new place. He had the trunk of the car to himself (without the flat covering thing that hangs behind the back seats obviously) with his carrier and his litter box. At night, he generally slept on me if we were in the car or at the foot end of my small one person tent if he felt like it. It was really nice to have the company. The litter box didn't get that much use actually because he would rather way for the stops. I didn't keep him on a leash, I tried at first but they haven't invented a harness he will not get out of but he always comes back when I call and never strays too far from sight so after the initial worry, I just accepted that he was his own cat and trusted that he would come back to me. It worked out X-D
omg that is my life right now! but without any pets. I travel from Long Beach to Summerlin in Vegas. It is quite an adventure but sometimes I do go all the way to Utah. I come back to California whenever it gets hot in Vegas then back to Vegas whenever it gets cold there. :)
Katie, its probably not a good idea to leave an inverter plugged in because it will wear out the electronics in the inverter over time. Only plug it in when you are using it. Keeping the inverter on/draining the battery without the car being on is a bad idea as well, since if the car is on the alternator is running and that will re-charge the cars battery, otherwise you are draining your car battery and thats not good.
i feel like living in your car during storms and rain would be bliss, i love rain so maybe its just me...? Rainy night in the car with snacks and a good book??? yessss
Have you ever thought about getting one of those backseat air mattresses? They fill up the space behind the front seats, so maybe it’ll be easier for you to stretch out completely!
There's probably enough room for a futon on one side and all her gear up to the ceiling on the other side. Just get good sturdy bins that won't topple or use bungee cords to hold them against the door? I agree. A futon is what I used for my van stay.
I have a Honda fit. Small. But I agree, it's cozy and comfortable. I raise my headrests on the front seats and put a blanket on them. Then I attach the blanket on each side above the doors and I have my own little cave. The back seats are folded down so I get the whole back seat/hatch area. A lot of room for one or a couple. My back windows are tinted so it's private. I love seeing how other gypsy's live and get new ideas! Thank you for the videos!
Tori T in Colorado tinted windows are not illegal but it's the very dark tint that's illegal. Just gotta check local laws on what percentage they allow.
@xthexcolorxredx If she only sleeps at night, then blinds won't be too obvious, but it will make her car stand out during the day if she's got tinted windows.
Sid Tinted windows are pretty normal. 😂 Not auspicious at all you just need to check the laws for where the car is registered as to how dark you can get them tinted.
I'm in Australia, but they probably sell these anywhere.. in our Kmart you can get a "back seat organiser" which is just a thing that hangs on the back of a seat with a whole heap of pockets and things. I hang mine on the front of my passenger seat for snacks and lip balm and things like that and they are super handy for finding homes for tortilla chips :)
Cars can be so hot quickly and cold too, how do you stay comfortable unless your running the ac or heat all the time, yes there is nice weather sometimes where it might be comfortable, but not often.
You’re really carefree... like I would be so worried about someone seeing the bags, clothes and purses you have in the truck since the windows aren’t tinted. Maybe that’s just me always thinking you should never just assume the best in everyone, but I think window tinting would be a good investment... no hate. Just concerned about your safety.
Actually there are lots of women driving trucks now, and they sleep at truck stops. Truck driving is essentially living from a car (vehicle) anyways. My wife is on her way home from a road trip, and is Prius camping. She is doing great, and she sleeps at either truck stops or Wal Mart parking lots. She also has covers for her windows she made herself from cardboard and fabric. The shapes are custom fit to the windows, so you don't have to worry about light getting in, or lack of privacy.
You have changed my life. I absolutely love you!!!!! I live in Tennessee & I have anxiety. I know it's because of my kids who all have drug addiction...two are in jail right now & I have no insurance so hard for me to get medication for my anxiety. So now you are my therapy!❤
I don’t know what it’s called but there’s another job similar to this where you work from home and type up court documents! I’m sure like a google search would answer all the questions, but it’s another option!!
I love your personality-so real. I have lived in a car & absolutely hated it ... but I love how you are open and not ashamed about living in your car! While my situation was not out of choice is still is great you do these videos to give tips on car living lifestyle!
Hi Katie, I think that battery charger will be OK if your car is running. You could probably leave it plugged in for a little while with the car shut off but I would be afraid to leave it plugged in for a long time with the car shut off.
@@stevenperry9122 really? Turn in your man card if you even have one. Okay clueless this is the reason why you don't want that plugged in while the car is not on. It's because it will drain the battery while the car is running you have an alternator which helps charge and regulate the current to the battery. If the car is not running and you're using the electrical devices inside the car which includes charging other phones or laptops it puts 100% of the strain on the battery. Do you understand that.
So amazed that folks are so amazed you live in a car. It's a liveable structure on wheels. After a natural disaster this situation would be stellar...and yes...am speaking from experience. However the ONLY thing I truly find unbelievable is that you can spend only 10-15 minutes in a TJ Maxx.
I've lived like Katie for a period-- in my car, moving around to different public lots, working, vigilant, even had tinted windows. I relate to the carefree attitude of Katie here, but it also unsettles me. So I just want to say (for anyone reading comments) that there will likely come a time when one is forced to not only understand but also *feel* the reality of just how vulnerable you and your belongings are when you are a young solo woman living in your car. Even when checking off all the precautions-- nothing visible in car, blocking windows, changing locations, 'safe' areas, etc. - it only takes one bad encounter to f*ck everything up. After having my car broken into and losing valuables and on another occasion narrowly avoiding a scary situation, I could rarely ever feel safe or at ease enough to relax in my car or to leave my car without anything I valued on my person. I could meet all of my needs (hygiene, food, sleep, income) but I was always on alert and this became emotionally taxing. It took a few instances for me to really get how vulnerable I was and how little chance I stood against anyone set on harming me with this lifestyle.
I am so jealous of your life right now lol New subscriber here, and man, this is amazing! I wish that before I had a family, I had done this!! Awesome, awesome, awesome!! God bless!!
I’ve been depressed and watching this has inspired me to brush my teeth tonight instead of just in the AM. I’m thrilled because I’m so proud of myself to discover I can use a zipper lock bag as a sink and don’t have to make a big production about spitting outside ect. Just threw some papertowels in there to absorb water and threw in my garbage. Sounds pretty pathetic if you’ve never been depressed or ACTUALLY NEVER HAVE lived in a vehicle.
I just found this comment from 2years ago. Things are better I now live in a nice camper. Since no one has encouraged me, “I ADMIRE YOUR STRENGTH GIRL! ODAT! Things WILL be better for you!❤😂
Cathie Dawson, reading through these comments and hearing backlash when anyone tries to give advice really makes me feel uncomfortable about leaving a comment, but whatever, here I go. While I agree with you about her getting a larger vehicle, I also think she could benefit from a more capable vehicle as well. *If her goal is to "travel" then she needs a ride that's capable of leaving the pave roads and accessing all the free BLM (burea of land management) lands*, this would open up a whole new world for her! I personally have a 2015 Forester XT (a regular Forester would be better at fuel economy, 32 MPG) that I'm able to live out of. I can't speak more highly of it. From the spacious sleeping area 6 ft, 5 in. to the panoramic moonroof to star gaze yourself to sleep. This vehicle has taken me to some incredible places. Most recently I camped out for two nights on the a cliff overlooking Zion National park, and just a week ago I drove up within 3 feet from the waters edge at Lake Mead and spent the day relaxing next to warm aqua blue water. The best part of it, the dispersed campsites I have access to are absolutely EPIC & FREE!! Please don't take this comment the wrong way. I know she' said she's content with her Yaris, but her #1 goal is to travel right? There's more to life than city living. Imagine driving to a natrual hotspring in the middle of winter while the snow is still falling on you and then... dipping in.
Why not ditch your back seat , then you can sleep right through from the back , your windows get the blinds to have something more useful and regular each night what camera do you use.
I agree. I took out my back seat and I sleep feet in trunk and head to front of car. I can fit a queen size futon mattress and it is pretty comfortable.
One week down. I'm not going to lie extremely hot. But after about 9:30pm it started to cool down and I honestly got the best sleep I ever had in my life. I slept in a Walmart parking lot and my job's parking lot. I'll probably stick with the walmart parking lot. I just called a bunch of walmarts and asked if they offered Overnight Parking. In Cincinnati only one offers it, so I think that's my new home for a month or two.
Fish Face you can get away with parking in Walmart overnight whether they say they allow it or not. Also sometimes you can park outside a hotel overnight and some of them their WiFi even reaches the parking lot.
I've never really "lived" in a car, but I did sleep in a van for about a month while I was on tour with a band at one point. We slept in walmart parking lots every night and never had a problem. Most of them were 24 hours, but not all of them.
Leslie Williford Leslie is this her choice to live in a car or is she homeless? Her home is her car and she seems completely self sufficient and has ability to purchase things. Real homelessness can happen to anyone. I was homeless. In the month of January in Wisconsin. It was a very trying time. This is rather luxurious living.
Its a valid question! I have slept in the car over night a couple of times, one even while heavily pregnant and it was NOT fun lol but it was a very small car.. I couldnt cope not knowing where the next toilet was when on my period! I do know that if i ever chose to live in my car the frist thing id want to do was tint the windows!!
I don’t know if she does this but nowadays there are period underwear that will literally let you bleed in them and contain it all plus there is something called the diva cup which you can use instead of a tampon that can be safely in you for 12hrs if need be(unlike tampons). It’s also way more comfortable. This is what I would use..
Marigam its funny that you bring up that cause I just found out about this from my new gf and I was in shock and it's great for mess free sex jus saying
I lived in my truck/camper, boats, condemned buildings, etc. for about 30 tears of my life, and preferred it to living in a high rent noisy apartment. There's more peace of mind without the stress of having to meet the rent each month, talk about a buzz-kill. I did this in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. There was more space then, cause the world was not as crowded and you could park almost anywhere. It's clearly much tougher now, so you have my complete respect. You remind me of a woman I know when you wear the round glasses. I love your vid's, there was no internet or cell-phones at that time, a very different world, indeed. I think you're lovely. I too have health issues that no one understands.
Do you have a smoke alarm in your car incase of electrical fire while you are asleep? The invertor should be fine for the battery. Batteries need replacing every 5 years or so anyway.
Many people die from fires while sleeping. It doesn't have to be her car on fire. Just one nearby with enough toxic fumes to ensure she doesn't wake up.
What's the point of traveling to see new places if you spend most of your time around chain stores like TJ Maxx and Target? No shade, I'm just curious.
I lived in my car for 2 months and was a full time student as well as working a full time job. I wish I could've found a job doing emails, it would've made life 10 times easier at that time. Lol. I love the positive attitude that you have. I wasn't so positive when I lived in my car ! I will say I learned alot during that time , it humbles you. I think everyone should live in a car for at least a week. I promise you will be thankful for everything you have ❤
What do u do w the heat in Tx? Like how do u handle sleeping w out air conditioning? Doesn’t it get uncomfortable? Second video for me ...love how transparent you are.
How did you find that customer service job where you just answer emails? It seems so hard to find places you can trust to offer legitimate online work. Plus like you, suffering from extreme anxiety I find it very difficult to work in an environment with several people in it or around it. Thanks Katie...... You’re the best!!!
Ya Katie! "Put a link below" I used to do online chat customer service and I looooved it but it was in an office setting and my anxiety would not let me be great when I had to talk to/avoid real people
Just look them up on indeed and glass door there are a tooooon of remote customer service positions. I've been looking for a new job forever and just keep seeing those!
The Shiseido(sp?) cotton pads are amazing, I won’t use anything else. I cut them in half because they’re so big usually a half will do the job and you get double the product!
It probably offers similar social opportunities to working from home as a single person. If anything, she's not tied to one geographic location socially which is really interesting. 😀
idk if im ready to make the transition of fully living in my car yet but i feel like this has completely opened my eyes to a new way of traveling the country. I literally have the freedom of going anywhere and not having to worry about accommodation which is sometimes the most expensive part of traveling, I AM SO EXCITED :D
Do u have medical insurance? What about mail? Also, what do u so when it's hot or cold outside? And here's a suggestion: use car shades to cover your windows instead of shirts.
Nini S there are a ton of videos out there on mail, insurance, divers license, all of it. she has a job, even though she works remotely doesn't mean it's not like any job, even if you work from home they still pay your insurance
I'm curious, I've watched 2 of your videos now and I see that you have a passion for travel, but you also work 3 jobs...so, do you ever do more than work, sleep, drive? I also live out of my vehicle for the love of travel, but I like to stay for a season in one place, meet ppl, make new friends and explore a bit before moving on. Do you ever have adventures?
Marty Cook I’ve done the same but now staying in one place making good money but I wonder what she does for work who she works for to pay for all the travels. I do Uber and roadie for now but do it staying in one city currently
can you reveal what online companies you work for? The job where you return emails online sounds interesting. Maybe post if these companies are hiring?
the easiest way to change your shirt is to just put the new shirt on on top of the shirt you’re wearing, once you have both shirts on pull arms out of both sleeve holes, then put your arms back through the top shirt and pull old shirt over your head! I have a certain shirt I have to wear to work and sometimes don’t want to wear it to class but have to go from class to work. do it allll the time in parking lots!
You have REALLY great skin! How do deal with receiving packages you've ordered online? Do you send it to a friends? Random house? Business ? This is all so interesting to me.
Emily W Obviously I don’t know what she does, but I work for ups and you have the option to have a pkg help and you just got pick it up! I’ve also done that for a personal package that went through the post office that I wanted to pick up early in the morning instead of waiting all day for to be delivered! Super handy
Amazon also allows you to have your package delivered at certain places (grocery stores, 7-11, school campus) in these designated lockers. Very convenient!
A po box is $50 for 6 months. You can pay for the entire year ($100) or six months at a time. If there are companies that don't deliver to po boxes, I use a friends home address.
Sometimes I secretly miss my friends. I miss having the time to talk & laugh & go food hunting together. Because nowadays we are so packed with our own schedule.
Did you ever think of maybe putting some film on your windows, I've seen them in Home Depot, it's a film, block out clings to your window, and in the morning all you have to do is peel them, they just cling onto your windows and you can pull them out whenever and then use them over and over again, it's comes in a roll, they work really good
I was just watching this video downstairs with my breakfast, and my mom comes over and she says “who’s that... and she lives in her car!!! Why!!??” I told her well I don’t know, she was just on my recommendations for UA-cam then I subscribed and here I am now 😂😂😂
I live in Austin, it's me & my 2 sisters. Late 20s, early 30s. Anywho, you're welcomed to stay w us anytime or come shower, hang, get out of the heat. Whateva:)
That's exactly how I sleep in my car. I usually put up shirts or towels. The best is when it's rainy out in the morning, so you can chill for a bit longer. That's where I'm at now, in Austin. One thing you can do is, to cover all your stuff with a towel or blanket during the day, that'll keep from peering eyes. Oh yeah, about the Duracell charger thing, I have the same one. It does really come in handy. Just watch you what you plug in, you might drain the car battery. Small portable fans during the night and charging you phone is okay when you car is off, but for your laptop or other bigger items, keep your car on during use.
I really like these style of vlogs that you make. You’re such a nice personality Katie. No wonder you have friends for such a long time. One day there will be someone becoming more than just a friend for sure to grow old together. Have a great week👍
Can you fit small bins in your trunk? I'd love to see you tackle having more organization...a specific place for everything. Also, maybe some type of fabric that can wrap all around the inside of your car to cover all the windows at once.
I thank you so much Ms. Katie for making this video, even though most of us know these thing's, some time's it is helpful, for me anyway to be shown step by step what someone else would do, so that now i want feel alone in my new beginning. I really don't want to be all over the place letting anyone else know that I'm a new car dweller if that make sense.
Hey! I just found your channel today, and loving your videos so far, you seem super friendly! :) Could you possibly talk more about your online customer service job? You say you love it, seems interesting! x
OMG you remind me so much of my lifestyle choices. I have traveled a lot and Target, Starbucks, and the gym were my go to places to go. Starbucks to do college HW online and you can get free refills with the Gold Card, Target is fun to buy groceries to eat right away (they have Starbucks) too or to buy makeup and fun stuff, and the gym to work out and get ready. Or most Starbucks have single restrooms to change if you feel weird dressing in the car, you can change there (like I used to sometimes.) I used baby wipes when I felt grimy in a hot day and the whole backpack thing too--same thing! You are organized and super clean. I know that makes a whole difference! Awesome! I always thought living in a car would be so easy and fun. If I did not have kids, I would totally travel the US and do this. I love traveling but stay at hotels since I have kids, but the travel to get to those hotels, I use the skills that I have learned throughout my traveling experience. Your life is exciting and some people like stability. However, I am a person that thrives on exploring and living different environments and experiences. You go girl! LIVE and do what makes you happy!
I have always loved driving around my area and visiting all the different tj maxx, Marshall’s, Nordstrom racks, things like that. I just like it.. never met someone else who enjoys the same thing! I’m binge watching your videos right now lol.
You are so beautiful . I admire that you have the freedom to do what you want & live life on your own terms . I am glad that living differently is becoming more acceptable and find it interesting that people are creating ways to do that, so they can expirence things & go places they would otherwise not be able to .
I lived in my car for a year back in 2009. The best way to sleep was upside-down in the drivers seat with a pillow where the knees would bend and my legs over the back seats, in the rear window lol You should consider a van for safety and privacy? Just bought a van for $800 and about to move in at the end of the month! So excited to have a mattress and to be able to stretch out!
Oooooohhh I would love to see a food storage vid. What food do you keep in the car? Do you buy food daily, or do you keep some dry goods? What about a cooler with perishables? Thanks Katie!
I also would love to see food storage
Cooler with ice (& put 🏔️❄️ icepacks in it for later).
The fact you look that flawless just waking up (as well as all the time) is mind boggling. You are such a boss and such a beauty.

I use the plastic Target or grocery bags for my car garbage. I loop it over the stick shift. I call it my carbage bag.😹
Laura S i do that too lol

the way I change my shirt in a car is this: I take the new shirt and I’ll put it over my head, but I won’t put my arms through. I’m completely covered. then, I will take my arms out of the sleeves of the old shirt and pull it up to my shoulders. then I put my arms in the sleeves of the new shirt. at this point, I am then able to pull the old shirt out through the head-hole of my new shirt and that’s it! hard to explain but it works and no one sees anything.
thats impressive

What part of cali?
omg that is my life right now! but without any pets.
Good advice thank you 👍🙂 yes charge on a drive.
i feel like living in your car during storms and rain would be bliss, i love rain so maybe its just me...? Rainy night in the car with snacks and a good book??? yessss
Have you ever thought about getting one of those backseat air mattresses? They fill up the space behind the front seats, so maybe it’ll be easier for you to stretch out completely!
Ayla ASMR it looks like she has bins and books down there. She probably needs that space for storage.
GlitterPewbs storage on the roof would help with that :)
There's probably enough room for a futon on one side and all her gear up to the ceiling on the other side. Just get good sturdy bins that won't topple or use bungee cords to hold them against the door? I agree. A futon is what I used for my van stay.
I've been looking for this comment for several videos now. One of those would be awesome, but I guess she's comfortable with the way it is.
Nmesduls. Como cues. Awki muladtiez
Do you ever get bored? I would go crazy in my car all day lol however I am so intrigued by this ❤️
Hun.. if your wipes are dryer out just pour a little bit of water into the package and they will reset and be good as new no sense in wasteing them :)
Yeah, add water to wipes package - even for inside the house, which isn't as hot as the inside of a car.
Thank you for the tip. I will do this for my sons baby wipes.
I can't believe you actually have to tell people this...
Thats what ai do I add water to mine. It is cheaper to buy the three pk. I use them for everything that u would need a damp towel for.
@@notanotherfuckingnikkiWhat a snarky holier than thou comment; how rude! I'll bet u have a miserable life and misery loves company
Would you consider tinting your back windows? Would that make you feel safer? Or I suppose, more "discreet"?
Idk I think blinds are more sketchy lol I see cars with tinted windows all the time, but not with blinds.
Tori T in Colorado tinted windows are not illegal but it's the very dark tint that's illegal. Just gotta check local laws on what percentage they allow.
AlePolait I don’t live in America, but 96% of the cars in my country is tinted lol
@xthexcolorxredx
If she only sleeps at night, then blinds won't be too obvious, but it will make her car stand out during the day if she's got tinted windows.
She's done videos on this. I've been here it is hard but there are ways 👍
I have no idea how I got here. I have no idea what I'm watching. But your so flippin cute and sweet, cant stop watching lol!
SAME !!!! she is adorable
Angelina Dumas especially since she sleeps at truck stops! That’s scary!
Actually Violent lmao...gross! 😂
@@ryansbaby79 definitely not a truck stop.
You have changed my life. I absolutely love you!!!!! I live in Tennessee & I have anxiety. I know it's because of my kids who all have drug addiction...two are in jail right now & I have no insurance so hard for me to get medication for my anxiety. So now you are my therapy!❤
This country has a major problem because we let insurance companies raise the rates too high. Hope you get better with your anxiety..
Natural herbs help, teas and way cheaper.❤️
I suffer from anxiety too so I learned how to coupon right here in tribe and that my therapy.
Who do you work for doing the customer service? I have been trying so hard to find a stay-at-home job but am having zero luck.
Marisa Snowden I was wondering the same
I don’t know what it’s called but there’s another job similar to this where you work from home and type up court documents!

Yep
Shelly Mac why? The charging port isn’t connected to the battery when the car isn’t on.
I find your channel so calming lol
You should tint your windows a little. Once I get my new car I’ll get the windows tinted cause I hate when ppl stare at me while I eat 😂
mskelitza31 they are probably wondering if you are a man dressed like a woman.....
Gripping Lips Fishing ........ Go away loser
; uh oh look out we got a white knight riding through the comment section....ps go fuck yourself
Gripping Lips Fishing why would you say something like that to another person?
I have limo tint on all my back windows. its so nice
Can I just say that this video made me so happy. Thank you for sharing that with us!! You rock
PoleGem RIGHT
I've lived like Katie for a period-- in my car, moving around to different public lots, working, vigilant, even had tinted windows.
God bless!!
I was just thinking that
I’ve been depressed and watching this has inspired me to brush my teeth tonight instead of just in the AM.
ODAT! Things WILL be better for you!❤😂
Shane needs to make this a documentary
Yesssss

Omg yes!! Especially cause there’s a lot mentally going on with her unfortunately, I think it’d be sooooo interesting for every audience type
@@abbeyj2994 what do you mean theres a lot going on with her mentally?/. just curious/
Shane Dawson?
Girl, you get mad props for what you're doing, how you're doing it and your honesty about it. All the best to you! 🙏
worried about you and glad that you're back and feeling better don't go all week without picking up the camera because I get worried
You look Mary-Louise Parker the actress that played in fried green tomatoes!!
Girl! You need a van!
Cathie Dawson why for ? She’s comfortable as is
Cathie Dawson she doesn't want one. She is comfortable with her car.
Imagine driving to a natrual hotspring in the middle of winter while the snow is still falling on you and then... dipping in.
@@JonDZ_Adventuring same with my jeep...tab trailer rig

What company do you work answering emails?
B. Foreal I need to kno
I believe it's for a website called doesn'texist.com.. she explained what a hotspot was and how to use it.. in 2019 LoL
Fish Face the futon mattresses a good idea
I love how fast you talk! It keeps me interested.
We could all do this and retire early. No more rent!
Scarlet Moonlight $$. Move out into a mini van now. As s life choice. Good luck 😉
okmmauh, why?
My house is paid for.
But no family. That is worth so much.
You’re amazing. Keep living a positive life! You look flawless too. Thanks for the vids
how do you deal with periods
......
Leanne foreal why does it say that you can have mess free sex if Yu cnt it just hurts a lil I just stick a lil more then the head in
I lived in my truck/camper, boats, condemned buildings, etc. for about 30 tears of my life, and preferred it to living in a high rent noisy apartment.
Omgosh I love your tattoo BLUE FOR AUTISM!!!
The best time of my 27 on the road crafting business was when I gave up hotels. I dabbled in stealth camp, But preferred a rest stop. Pure joy!
Do you have a smoke alarm in your car incase of electrical fire while you are asleep? The invertor should be fine for the battery. Batteries need replacing every 5 years or so anyway.
RandomMattyness I’m sure she’d realize it quickly considering the close quarters lol
Many people die from fires while sleeping. It doesn't have to be her car on fire. Just one nearby with enough toxic fumes to ensure she doesn't wake up.
a carbon monoxide alarm would be a good idea as well
What's the point of traveling to see new places if you spend most of your time around chain stores like TJ Maxx and Target? No shade, I'm just curious.
YOUR SKIN. UGH goals
Looks so cozy tbh an imagine when it rains damnnn
I lived in my car for 2 months and was a full time student as well as working a full time job. I wish I could've found a job doing emails, it would've made life 10 times easier at that time. Lol. I love the positive attitude that you have. I wasn't so positive when I lived in my car ! I will say I learned alot during that time , it humbles you. I think everyone should live in a car for at least a week. I promise you will be thankful for everything you have ❤
Omg... haha! Your stuffed animals. The buffalo. I have the same exact one! I named him General Custer 🤣

It probably offers similar social opportunities to working from home as a single person. If anything, she's not tied to one geographic location socially which is really interesting. 😀
idk if im ready to make the transition of fully living in my car yet but i feel like this has completely opened my eyes to a new way of traveling the country. Do u have medical insurance? What about mail? Also, what do u so when it's hot or cold outside? And here's a suggestion: use car shades to cover your windows instead of shirts.

can you reveal what online companies you work for? The job where you return emails online sounds interesting. Maybe post if these companies are hiring?
Chris Tarrolly I second this!
Why? So you can take her job?
You know jobs can have multiple employees, right?

the easiest way to change your shirt is to just put the new shirt on on top of the shirt you’re wearing, once you have both shirts on pull arms out of both sleeve holes, then put your arms back through the top shirt and pull old shirt over your head! I have a certain shirt I have to wear to work and sometimes don’t want to wear it to class but have to go from class to work. do it allll the time in parking lots!
Where did you find the jobs you do? The customer service email job. Do you know how I could find a job doing that?
How do you work in your car!!! I would be dying for a break- I would defintely be in a library all day just to have some leg room and desk space
Super handy
Addy Folsom oh yeah! I forget that's an option. 😂 I guess if it's not something you have to worry about, you just don't!
I’m sure she probably has like a P.O. box or something.

Traveling to a new city and i'm mustering up the strength, thanks for the vids.
I'm not sure why but I find you incredibly calming to watch....you're voice reminds me of Miley Cyrus's btw. All the best to you .
You are amazing! Great tip for the steering wheel desk.

I totally like this had to because I didn't have a spot for my dog after a break up. You amazing...
So what do you do about an Address? Like for your phone bill and license and stuff.
When a packet of wipes dries out, it can be easily rehydrated with a capful or two 💧 of bottled water. 💃 No need to throw them out. 👍🏻🐨
Awe you look super cozy in your car. Love your glasses.
Where do you work online? I've been looking for online work.. I have a goal just like this!!!
Tip! When your bath wipes dry out, just pour water into the packette! It works.
I am curious as to how you find your online jobs. I'm trying to find something like that but there are so many scams out there.
You have too much junk! I just keep a plastic bag in the passenger seat for my garbage bag it's that easy LOL
does anyone know what type of work this is; customer service writing emails; but how do you apply for that and where... :)

Katie when ur wipes dry add water to keep moist..
I lived in my car for a year back in 2009.
