Just stoped by this location. There are not any “no trespassing signs” posted on the property. There is a for sale sign, and who’s to say I’m not a potential buyer looking over the land?
exactly... if you got the Bank to back it up. you are a potential BUYER ... NO way they will arrest you .. they just dont want KIDS who have no money Vandalizing it .. they could care less about their Safety .
Who cares if people trespass on abandoned land? There are more important things to worry about. I was an urban explorer before someone coined the term. It's fun and we know the risks involved. Everybody has to take the fun out of everything these days. Go chase pedophiles and real criminals. Leave the urban explorers alone. If someone gets hurt, it's on them. People are responsible for their own actions.
@@Bart_Fargo I get what you're saying. I would never ever sue someone if I got hurt. To me that is one of the stupidest laws ever. You can't even boobytrap your home because if someone gets hurt they sue you. That is a bunch of BS. I think if someone gets hurt while trespassing it's their own damn fault. Believe me, I see your point. There is just a certain allure and mystique to abandoned properties. But I more am drawn to old abandoned houses that have been that way for years. This property actually wouldn't interest me because there is no history involved. Also, I thought the whole thing was abandoned, I did not know an actual person owned the land. I thought a bank owned it or something. Each situation is different and in this instance you are correct. Besides these days most people are not respectful like we were in my day. We left the property as is. Took pictures and tried to think of what could have happened to the people of the house and why they left it. We never ever would think of vandalizing or taking anything from the property. I have seen old time pianos, motorcycles etc. Never once did I even consider taking them.
@@JR-it2yc Yes, as I said to Bart above......yeah, that is stupid people are liable if someone gets hurt. I think if you trespass and get hurt it's your own damn fault!! Urban exploring is not for idiots or kids, that's for sure!!
Lisa, you are a true explorer. I LOVE old buildings...hospitals, campsites, resorts, amusement parks, homes, mining towns (esp the ones where the people just up and left most of their possessions). Never got into like I would have wanted and mostly looked online from pics of those who did actively explore. I also like to picture how things were when the place was "alive". No one should vandalize. You just look and leave.
@@Powerduo88 Thanks Kira. Yeah, old amusement parks are the best because they are SO creep. I wanted to sneak into the old St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville before they tore it down. I'm from Belleville, so it is a part of my past, but my g/f and best friend made me promise I wouldn't. They were afraid I would get hurt. So I just videoed it from the outside on Halloween hoping to catch a glimpse of something. :) But I have been all over Indiana and the outskirts of Champaign, IL. I still have some pics. Someone broke into my storage and stole a bunch of stuff unfortunately. :( But anyway, it is so fun but no one these days wants to do it with me. lol So, like you, I watch videos of others exploring. It's still like I'm there with none of the hassle. :) And yes, no one should ever ever take anything or hurt the property. It ruins it for everyone else and is just disrespectful. I don't know where you are from but around here there was a nightclub called Faces (In East St, Louis, IL) where everyone went after the bars closed at 2 am. It is abandoned now and I watched a video of someone exploring it. It was way cool because in my mind I could see it back in it's glory day. Celebrities used to go there after their concerts, like Madonna and Taylor Dayne to name just a few. It was huge. 3 floors. But anyway, yeah, it is A LOT of fun and I always respect the property. :)
How to create a huge advertisement while pretending that statement is about the safety of the people. Suddenly those abandoned property prices doubled overnight...khmm khmm
it really belong to the indians who had lived on the ridge before everone built the mansions in there and left them abandened long ago when they left them so it is kinda backward for the sherriff to come and say and say we need to not go there. just kinda a little funny if you asks me
The Indians never owned any land, they slaughtered other tribes who lived there before so they could use the land. Don't be ignorant and ignore how people lived back then. It was common to conquer back then. Nowadays a squatter can go into your home and you gotta hope that court order gives you the right to go back into your home. Must be because you're civilized.

someone removed it, there used to be the sign about the FBI because the money used to build them originally was embezzled.
It sounds like the person who called you might actually have been the ghost of Michael Jackson. 0:20
Safety of the people. Right. I’m so sick of hearing “this” is for your own safety.

It’s all fun and games until you’re the one that’s liable.

Please dont go down there and take a look.... so lets make a VIDEO to give it even MORE Publicity and interest ..
lmao
LMAO, that is so true!!! :D
I know I’m not from there I’m from MN I want to take a weekend trip I got curious
So we can write trespassing tickets that aren’t even legal and you can pay fines 😂😂😂
How & why is a Sheriff receiving state & federal funding to protect a "town" as private property?
Yep they should be asking for money to condemn and demolish the site
DUH, you 5? Cuz it’s NOT A TOWN YET …..Christ…..go graduate middle school 🤣😂🙄
I've passed this place and it's just a weird incomplete subdivision. Right off a main road and weird
Why do property owners always gotta ruin people's recreation? It you're not gonna use the land yourself, at least let other people use it.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out tear them ugly houses down problem solved.
They want all the land even tho they’re not doing anything with it
What are they hiding?
Ohhhhh they don’t want the property and buildings to get even MORE DAMAGED so that must mean that they’re hiding something? Christ grow up.
Nuthin just a failed develpment
I'm so happy I'm not in ANY social media
That's a nice little spot of land.
Attacks happen when the evil spirit believes that it can overpower or bully a person!
My family the Joneses on my dad's side we are connected to jonestown Missouri it's about time that he is recognized
The next "Walking Dead" filming sight perhaps.
I think someone has had to of lived there for it to be a ghost town. Looks someone built it and had no takers
Here's an idea board them up duh....
Funny I was just looking at this the other day on UA-cam. Sad what happened to cause the project to not be finished.
I like it I'd like to buy it
Ugly houses.
How about no. :)

Truth!

😮
Nobody is gonna buy those fucking houses though. What's the deal.
The deal is lowering the property value already lower than it is. That is a crime. Dumb Dumb.
Likes interest but doesn't? 😜
Make out city.
Then why doesn't the Sheriff and County work to get the place demolished? 🙄
It seems like there are lots of good reasons for people, and businesses, to stay far away from this bigoted, backwards state.
