11:22 damn I can relate that much, whenever I play, I would always look behind me during or after a beatmap just to check if what's beside only to realize there's nothing!
The fast eyes thing reminds me of albinism, since people with albinism have nystagmus, which is the fast back and forth motion of their eyes, involuntarily. It also reminds me of Geometry Dash players, their eyes also teleport and stuff
i kinda had a similar experience with IGTS 2019 and it was really fun! glad more people are enjoying taiko :>

nice thing you mentioned: playing on a smaller resolution, and in 16:9 aspect ratio helps reading, especially on higher level (or HR) songs. at least that's my opinion.
