The structure of most of the songs reminds me the clasic rock music of late '60s and '70s, about all the hard rock of that era. A bit Of punk rock and pop rock of the '80s and '90s too. Of course the sound engineering and technology has change a lot but I grow up listen The Who, Deep Purple, Led Zeppeling, Ramones, Hearth, Green Day and a lot of others. I think what make a lot of '40s years old people like me happy it's the realization that rock is not dead, just has to move to Japan because he have enough of the comercial crap in the west. Oh man, what a shit it's (most of, not all, but close) the top music charts in the last two decades.
This is their 2020 Uniform by the Way, they were supposed to go Full blast toward 武道館 2021. But Covid-19 got in the way. So they had two online concerts (one in July and another in August, the August お給仕 still available for streaming till November 16)
Can we agree that is a genre of rock that a Japanese all girl band took it to a higher level to capture an audience that waited for a group to rock their souls? Band Maid does just that! USA’s rock has its moments, it elevated in the UK, and now on a much higher level in Japan, Jrock!! and the best part! They’re being dominated by WOMEN!!!
Haven't seen you guys in ages. Always loved your Band-Maid reactions. Hope all is well with the both of you. And maybe there will be a chance someday you will be back on here again, more frequently. Stay safe and be well always.
I'm not sure if you were told why they were surrounding Akane (the Drummer). They were making faces at her (変顔) to distract her. She makes faces right back (3:17). If you watched Play, she actually made Saiki laugh. Her only complaint though that was there was a camera facing her and they could see her but not her other bandmates. During the last online concert she was successful in tricking the camera. When they focused on her all the viewers could see was her smiling.
Miku is so cute. In the Zepp concert version of "Freedom" that YT took down Miku had two singing parts. One was the same part she sang in this video then towards the end Saiki went a bit into the audience to sing and got kidnapped by that audience and lost a shoe so Miku had to bring the song home on vocals.
Philip Cable Saiki started the next song barefoot and MISA came over and was laughing at her and they where dancing around, half way through the song Kanami did her solo center stage and Saiki got her shoes back on by the drums.
ShikataGaNai100, The band members said hengao master is Miku. She does hengao during concert only for Akane long long time, the crowds cannot see her facial expression. They said “We cannot broadcast on TV, because Miku’s hengao is so bad”.
MAYBE? B-M pick Valentine Day for this concert: In Japan Valentine's Day is celebrated on two dates. On the popular Valentine's Day date of February 14, females present gifts of chocolates to their boyfriends or other men close to them, and on White Day March 14 a man gives candy to a women.
Like your comments and screen ratios (because it's also supposed to be about the performance, right?) But the audio could be improved for both you and your viewers. I recommend going direct software / line out and not recording from a live room speaker (for us), and using headphones (for you two). You can do it and still make real time comments we can hear. But with audio as good as the source (like many reactors have), your viewers can jam along with you and experience the performance more how the creators intended for us to hear it, rather than it sounding like your hearing it from the bathroom down the hallway. I know it sounds like nit-picking, but the overall experience of your broadcast is greatly enhanced when the playback is high quality and powerful. It puts everyone more into the excitement and emotion of performance, and that adds up to more viewers and subs. I'm looking forward to your next reaction, sandz.
@Charles Velten Thanks, Chuck. I (and maybe you too) do this, and I don't like doing it, in an effort to: 1) Raise the overall quality of Reactor programs, especially when they are covering bands I want new people to hear in the best possible way; 2) For Reactors to hear properly so that their reactions and comments are based on how the creators intended their performances to be heard; 3) For me and other viewers to see and hear how exciting and awesome these bands really are. Can you imagine hearing jinjer, BABYMETAL, or any powerful, quality act from a 2-inch speaker? And then making judgments and comments about them to others? Reactors who do this lose credibility with me as to why they are even reacting to music.
Hi from the uk 🇬🇧 something you might like to check out the band is called nightwish it's a symphonic metal band from Finland with a Dutch singer floor jansen (the vakyrie) This band has a massive following in Europe and the Internet Nightwish ghost love score wacken open air concert 2013 Nightwish romantacide wacken open air concert 2013 (heavier than gls) Nightwish song of myself wacken open air concert 2013 Nightwish storytime wacken open air concert 2013 And prepare for the nightwish army to arrive at the door lol 😆
I like your interactions, it added an extra layer of fun on top of this already bursting with energy BM performance. Btw if you don’t mind sharing, are you both Japanese living currently in Japan? if so, how is the situation looking there? Do you think it’ll get good enough by feb next year for their debut Budokan performance to be a success?
They have so much fun on this. I watch this when I need cheering up!

Band Maid reminds me mostly of 80's and 90's style Hard Rock / Hair Metal
Intro a bit of Deep Purple influence you can hear maybe.
bandmaidは可愛い〰🎵
でも、貴女のリアクションも可愛い〰🎵
