So GREAT to know that there are places around the UK that manage to obtain these old yet BEAUTIFUL!!! vehicles that once regular on our roads now seen as touring vehicles ( those that are fortunate to be be restored & looked after) while sadly many escape saving & are lost to the scrap pile. 😟😟😟😟😥😥 So, i say go to as many as these places ride on as many of these lovely vehicles as possible & buy some soveniers (excuse spelling error). etc, etc , etc Help keep towards the costly cost of the upkeep & maintenance of these vehicles for many, many years to come for us & others to enjoy. 😉👍
They groups & individual preservationists do a superb job finding restoring and running these classic old buses. I myself are involved with 3 bus preservation groups, a tram preservation group and a railway preservation group. So I see first hand all of the hard work that goes into the gleaming buses that we see at rallys
Thanks that was truly sublime. Such crystal clear clarity, your camera work and recording is ace. I probably ain't been to Morecambe in more than 50 years but I could tatse and smell it from your video. Cheers MW.
Cheers, a beautifully sunny day helps. Morecambe went downhill a little over the years, but does seem to be having a revival. Certainly plenty of visitors on Sunday
What a lovely area I’ve been there my partners church has an outreach ip there, for me the Olympian and AN type body in Ribble NBC poppy red thanks to modern paints it don’t go a flat pinky shade like back in the day (which I miss) Also the fishwick national 2s ,I hated it when London general rebuilt there red arrow national 2s the greenway spec they to me looked horrible the national looked much better to me 😊,the rich maroon of Ribble I liked and the enviro 400 in NBC Ribble livery ,I wish dome fleets would do more of that I’m hoping one if the London companies paints the NRM in the red with white upper deck windows and yellow entrance doors ,superb video one day I hope I’m up your way and ask if can drive an Atlantean I’ll bring my PCV with me 😊 All the best Mark 😊😊👍🏻
I've always liked the ribble Park Royal atlamtean myself, much better than the later ecw ones. The ribble livery was something I grew up with, being in North Liverpool we had more ribble route than corporation. Although not my local area the fishwick livery was also a favorite
Thanks, there are lot of bus rallys all around the country. This website is the best source for finding out when & where. www.classicbuses.co.uk/events.html
I believe she was unwell overnight aswell. Her husband went off and left her but i believe that a couple of people kept checking in on her to see if she was ok and i saw a young lad in a Ribble uniform and a bloke handing her a hot drink
I believe the lady had been unwell through the night aswell. I asked if she was ok and a gentleman and young lad in Ribble uniform came over with a hot drink for her. I believe her husband just left her and went off with his 2 boys

This was the most interesting and best-produced video I've seen of this rally....and some wonderful PD3 sound-effects too. A pleasure to watch.
Thank you. It was a good day and the PD3 sounds are a favourite of mine, especially that exhaust

5:18 - Yours truly, again! And at 5:38, then at 7:41 (aboard Barrow 169, at the side of the bonnet).
Thanks for filming!
You get everywhere lol. It was a good day, weather was kind too
The red bus with the white stripes is probably the best livery. Amongst with other older buses.
They are nice liverys indeed
😊

At least someone was looking out for her
Lol. I think she'd had one too many scoops the night before maybe. :D
Travel sickness maybe

I would have stayed at home if I was ill
I believe they had travelled over from west Yorkshire the day before and she had taken ill overnight
@@PaulTurner-dx3yc oh, that would be an unforseen problem
The gentleman I believe that gave her a hot drink was from the town and District group. And the other lad with him was the RVPT chairman's son.
