Before I even attempted putting a magazine in it, I considered my optics, lights, and grips and what was needed according to its planned use. The brace came installed. Then I considered whether I wanted to run .223 or 5.56 according to its barrel twist and planned use.

Muzzle energy of a 5.56 on a 16" barrel is about 1300 ft. lbs. AT 2/3 the velocity you retain 4/9 of the energy which is 580 ft. lbs. 9mm is ~355 ft. lbs. I am not building this crap but to suggest it is the same as a 9mm is inaccurate.

You have a rifle cartridge going out of a 3 inch barrel. No time to burn the powder or get enough twist in it to be accurate at range or have velocity. This is when it just becomes dumb.
Throw a nice brace on It or stock if u can. Get you some good iron sights front n back or a red dot n u good. Oh n flip that magazine upside down if you gonna have them taped like that.. remember there's alot of fire, sparks, and heat coming out of that ijection port right onto your bullets. Could be dangerous. Lovely ar pistol tho 👍
