    My dad has been gone 15 years now, I watch this and wish that we had done a project like this together. Really enjoyed it.

    Instead of the 1/2 inch spacer for the fork bolt gap two nylon washer 1/4 inch (one on each end) as cushions would keep the bolt from grinding metal away preserve the condition of the forks and frame.....NICE WORK!

      Thanks for the compliment, and glad you are enjoying. This is our third mini restoration, but the first we have made videos of. We are learning that part as we go.

    Watching the mounting of that swingarm, im thinking this is un edited-real time..and could take a few episodes.

      In the UA-cam world today, editing is your friend. Ive seen motorcycles and gokarts "built in 10-12 min" and get a full understanding of what it took. ;)

    I did this exact same project 49 years ago with my Dad!! I still own my Bonanza BC1300. I'm contemplating doing a second restoration this year. Where did you guys source the parts

    How many mini bikes this size have swingarm suspension or rear suspension in general?

    Hello mini bike Nate. Ive been enjoying the bonanza restoration. I am just curious where you are getting your parts from. Such as the suspension, bushings and bearings ect. I recently purchased a bonanza frame as well. My Co-workers and I are planning on making it a weekend project. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!!

      Thanks for watching! Most of the parts we have came from either Go Powersports or Old Mini Bike Warehouse. Both have loads of parts and pretty good websites. If there are any local machine shops in your area they can be another good place to find bearings and bushings.

      @@MiniBikeNate hope the build is going well. Have another question for you if you have the time. What size bushings did you use on the swing arm and the neck?

    Hello I just bought this same exact one off of someone and I am wondering where you got the swing arms or what size they are ?

    If you swap the 2 sprockets on the jackshaft, she'll have more accelaration

    • @MiniBikeNate

      We will look at it, thanks!

    • @dwaynejohnson6277

      @@MiniBikeNate im an engineer. If you give me the tooth count on each sprocket i will work out the overall gear ratios for you. You want to have at least 6:1, but if you want it to have ample power for someone your size and lumpy grass, you want more like 10:1. Just went through all this with mine

    • @dwaynejohnson6277
      @dwaynejohnson6277 4 роки тому

      The way you currently have it, its probably only 5:1. Swapping the sprockets will be closer to 10:1 but i can tell you for sure with tooth counts. The jackshaft helps a lot to up the ratio but the way you have it now is defeating that

    I’m a real noob. What are the bottom part of the forks called and where can I order them. Thank you and great video

    • @MiniBikeNate
      @MiniBikeNate  3 роки тому

      I have typically just heard of them being called fork lowers or the lower fork. The best place I have found for individual parts is off of Ebay. If you are looking for something specific it may take a bit of searching. Good luck!

    Any idea where I can get parts for a Super Bronc ?

    • @MiniBikeNate
      @MiniBikeNate  4 роки тому

      I had to look that bike up because I was not familiar. There are parts available on Ebay that I saw. Beyond that, maybe try a swap meet. If you are looking for more universal parts Old Mini Bike Warehouse, and GoPowerSports are where we have bought most of our supplies.

    I just discovered your channel and this build and I love it! I'm thinking of trading one of my minis for a Bonanza BC1300 frame and will definitely be using this for reference. Also the editing is awesome! Very thorough explanation. Check out my channel to see some of my projects!
