- Short video to answer some questions about the #Nike #Metcon React Turbo for #CrossFit:
1. How about sizing? I've got two different sizes here to compare
2. Will the React foam midsole fit into the Metcon 5 and Metcon 6?
3. Can I use Hyperlifts with the Nike React Metcon Turbo?
Questions? Post here and I'll answer as best I can.
Hello! In the nanos x I had to go half size down, I’m usually 7.5 and I had to go 7, fo you think I have to do the same with this nano x1 ?
@@justvero3 Probably yes- but the Women's shoes are sized differently than men's - so I can't say for sure. Was length or width (or both) the issue?
If i use a size 9 (men) in my other nike metcon 5, should I go 9.5 for these?
Yep just got mine.. exactly the same .. gotta size up.. I’m a 10.5 in my other metcon’s, but had to go up to size 11 for these
Is it wide enough to be comfortable for toe splay? I like my Nano 9's and X's for the width. I want to buy these or the Strike Movement EM's ... just not sure on width!?
Im going to buy Womens Metcon 6 X. Im Size 9 on Nike Mens running shoes. This will be my first Metcon purchase, should i go 10.5 or 11 for the Womens Metcon 6 X
Unfortunately I cannot comment on how Women's sizes work in these shoes. I can say for Men's Metcon - I nearly always have to go 1/2 size up because they run narrow. My feet aren't unusually wide. Maybe someone else can chime in?
@@fitatmidlife927 Thanks, ill go 1/2 size up to be on safe side
How are these relative to the 5’s in length? I had to size up in the Metcon 5 but seemed to be ok when I briefly tried on the 6 back down to my normal Nike size. Thanks!
I feel like these are slightly shorter. With the Metcon 5 and 6 , I had to go 1/2 size up for width. With the Turbo I have to go 1/2 size up for BOTH length and width.
@@fitatmidlife927 Helpful, thanks!
I've tried Metcon 4s and they were much too narrow midfoot. There aren't half sizes for me (size 14), think I should go up to a 15?
Yes. These are definitely narrow
Is it good for squat? comparing to Metcon 6?
Metcon 6 is better IMO because of Hyperlift specifically for squats.
@@fitatmidlife927 Appreciate your help.
Is it better than Metcon 6?
It's lighter, it fits better (for me anyways), and overall it's a bit more versatile. The only point in favor of the M6 is that it has the hyperlifts.
I got the metcon 5 & 6, do you still recommand buy the metcon turbo?
I don't feel like the Turbo is a must-have "Upgrade" from the existing shoes. It feels a lot like the 6. But, if you were buying new - or replacing a worn out pair - I think it's the best option. - It's lighter, it fits better, and it's got the React foram. Only downside is $$$ and will it be durable? Only time will tell.
@@fitatmidlife927 thank you very much for the reply! I got another question about the size: if I wear us10 in both metcon 5&6 should I stay us10 for metcon react? I watched severl reveiws for the shoe, but still looking for the answer.
Do they run the same in size as the metcon 5? Or should I still half size up?
Personally, I had to go 1/2 size up on the Metcon 5, the Metcon 6 - AND this shoe. That said, I do feel like this one is shorter and narrower than the 5/6. It's really hard to give sizing advice - because everyone's feet are so different.
