"Florida gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis's (R) campaign is pushing back against newly unearthed tweets that showed a Republican activist and campaign ally calling former President Obama a racial slur.
Politico on Thursday reported that Steven Alembik, who has donated more than $20,000 to DeSantis, called Obama the n-word and a Muslim in a since-deleted tweet.
“We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: we adamantly denounce this sort of disgusting rhetoric,” DeSantis campaign spokesman Stephen Lawson told Politico in a statement."

No it isn't overused. It may be sometimes misapplied, and sometimes someone who normally isn't racist says or does something racist, but that doesn't mean the word is overused. The fact that you think it's overused means you're sick of hearing about it and don't really care about racism anymore, which I'm sad to say is a racist attitude. That alone doesn't make you 100% racist, but I feel it's important to point things like that out.
And just to make things fair, I like the Ugandan Knuckles meme, which is wildly racist and I shouldn't like it. But it makes me laugh regardless.

In the state of Mississippi there are twenty young men who have been jailed for the murder of a young lady who was set on fire and later died. Most of these young men have no record and the police have been linked to the KKK. One was publicised and is innocent. These few black people in that place are afraid and have been harassed, falsely arrested, lost their homes jobs and those young men have lost their future. Do not let this continue to happen. Black lives matter won't go to the state but that state is the best place to start. For several reasons.

you gotta get this fact straight: a person cannot choose what color he will be, it totally depends on his parents, a person has no control over his race, so all of us is equal. If a person is born to a poor family but becomes super-successful, this is a different story, success depends on every individual, however not his color, nationality or language. So to me, a person who says he is superior because he is white is so preposterous and illogical, if your parents are white you will be white, if they are black you will be black. You cannot be born in one color and become a different color.

Just saying I hate when anyone uses the n word, black or not. To me the word is a racial slur and has no place in society, under no circumstance do I need to call someone a slave, and so the only time I'd use the word is as a quote I find relevant or in a historical sense, and at that point I see no point in censoring the word as people know what it is anyway.

Idk about us being the most empathetic, Gen Y and Z seem pretty cool about such things as well and I am pleased with how the generations have progressed since us.
I have also noticed that the generation gap seems to have diminished greatly from what it was.
It's funny how the subcultures, music, and styles we had never went away as predicted like those that came before us. 30 - 40 years is an amazingly long haul for something that was only supposed to last a few years.
But more importantly we were the first generation to break majority liberal and stay that way, and Gen Y and Z are the same but by larger margins and have continued each in their own way according to the tech trends of the day. Looking back it seems crazy, but our rebellion has actually paid off. While this Trump era is despicable I think it's the last hurrah and death throws of the past.
