7 years ago in 2012 Carly Rae Jepsen released a song called Call Me Maybe which became her biggest and only major hit song in her career but her popularity was short lived and nowadays she's only remembered for that song and pretty much nothing else.

Its her management sadly. Emotion could have been a grammy worthy win. Even much better than Taylor's 1989. Had it been "Marketed better". Especially with her management leading on the album with "I really like you" as the main single. It looked right it was heading the direction call me maybe went. Thats why people didn't gone further to emotion. Hence, applying the call me maybe attitude to the whole album which sucks.
Her songs after Call me Maybe are not too catchy. Great but not catchy.
Because sadly many people label her as "oh that Call me Maybe lady" and thinks all of her music are like that, sigh

@@skarlita19 Because Carly Rae Jepsen started her career around that time period, so that's what's she's used to. At one point she had a popular song that came out earlier this decade called Call Me Maybe in 2012 but hasn't had a major hit song ever since then unfortunately.
