In 2017 wife and I drove in from Ludlow, Ca, north across Bradwell lake, then to Megaphone and followed rail tracks west thru Afton canyon and on to Barstow
Definitely a better version of your short film about the same place. I really appreciate the great deal of time and effort making those shots, not easy I know. Especially the scene around the fire into transition to night sky. Loved it. Hopefully we can get out sometime, tc my friend.
We definitely got to get out on the trail again Robert! Those shots are a lot of work but it's fun seeing it all come together in the end. Thanks for watching, peace.
New UA-cam Name! Ive had Afton Canyon on my Google Earth camping list for some time now. Your video has inspired me to try and get out there again soon. Some of the nicest shots Ive seen of the canyon. The water was flowing through there during our last big storm, sad to see that it didn't last very long. Awesome Job Jim! Do those trains run through the night?
Thanks Charles, Afton is so beautiful, go,go,go! Lol. Those trains do come through at night. It is tough camping there in the summer so go soon if you can or wait till late fall. Yeah, new channel name. I think it's more revenant to what I'm doing. Take care buddy. Thanks for watching!
That shot of the fireside, nightsky with the constellations....Orion and Pleiades prominent in the night sky was the apex moment...Wonderful!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate the comment!
Excellent 🤙🏼 🤙🏼 🤙🏼

That sounds like quite the adventure, about how many miles did that cover?
@@HeliJim400 It's about 50 miles from I-40 at Ludlow, Ca
I love this place.
Outstanding video Jim thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Tribute to a fallen friend
