- What's the point in KILLING if you can't have any FUN?
Angst, regret, apathy, emptiness? Frisk doesn't have any time for all that emotional baggage. She's too busy THRIVING. HAHAHA!
I brought back the more intense video version for this because the song needed it, I think.
Anyway, people have been asking for genocide, particularly Frisk v Sans, because of Hall of Judgment. Initially I envisioned this song as a Megalovania song, because I like to think Megalovania is Frisk's theme, not Sans'. The problem is that Megalovania is 5 minutes long with like a billion notes??
I did come up with lyrics that would work, but it just sounded really bad. How people manage not to make Megalovania songs not sound incredibly crowded is impressive. I could make the metal/short version sound okay (okay being the operative word), but the long one...?
Let's just say that making a Megalovania inspired song is better.
Anyway. I'm still doing Vengeance Route, but. If I did a Genocide Route. This is what it would be like.
And yes. Frisk DID collect Papyrus' scarf and only wear it in the hall of judgment just to taunt Sans.
I really wanted her laugh to be reminiscent of Flowey's, due to the Asriel-Chara connection, but it is what it is.

Fun fact! Toby Fox once stated that Megalovania wasn’t Sans’ theme, but the theme for the final boss. It’s anyone’s theme as long as they’re the final boss. So to say that this was Frisk’s megalovania is not wrong.
So Megalovania belongs to: Andonut, Sans, Frisk, and whoever the final boss of Deltarune is gonna be. Haven’t read Homestuck so I don’t know if Vriska counts. Put Asriel and Flowey here initially but Megalovania doesn’t play during those battles.
@@ImPrettySureThisIsMaxI guess it’s because they both have their own themes already, or because during those runs, Frisk isn’t really counted as “THE” enemy… while in genocide, Frisk IS the enemy. We can also refer to “The Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans”, which is in the game files, meaning that Megalovania is NOT his theme.
@@glitchzer0o83 Undyne has both Spear of Justice and Battle Against a True Hero. Monsters can have two battle themes. Megalovania counts as both the players theme and Sans theme, same as Napstablook, Mad Dummy, and Muffet all share a “theme” or at least motif

I just imagine that after the phone call at the end of the no mercy run she reset realizing that if she didnt finish the job the monster would just continue to collect souls so now she went back with her experience giving her the edge she needed to win against every monster

I like to think while Frisk started the genocide intent to stop more humans dying, she lost sight of the why along the way, focusing on only the goal.
Heck, if she were to reset again for some reason, I could deffinelty see Sans pulling a dusttale. This isnt some kind playing with a knife for kicks. This is someone hunting for vengeance and who cant be stopped by anything he can do normally.

Though I said multiple times I Iike pacifist most, I admitted I did genocide too, and the fun of it, I understand too =)))
Though this seems separated from "the player", though you could say in this situation of hearing that they will just collect more human souls after more time passes would mean that frisk judgement didn't fully phase them to stop killing kids or anyone else who falls, so they decided to reset and make sure the underground gets emptied so no other humans get preyed on by them for their souls but throughout the process the more lv they gained more their mind gets corrupted by it where it wasn't just out of pure necessity for human survival but out of thrill for combat

Moreover, Undyne also said it was not just about monsters anymore, Frisk (Player) would kill even their fellows, humans and destroy everything in their ways, that's the reason why Sans showed up too, to stop Frisk from erasing the timeline. And right in this song they also said their determination is strong so they can erase the whole world...
Oh, One thing I forgot...i probably think not every Players enjoy everyone's pains and suffering, they'd just wanna "beat the game", i guess...they'd ignore the pains but not completely enjoy it? But it must be fun to beat a hard boss =)))

He doesn't know that they will kill frisk, and toriel I don't know if they will spare or kill her since it will depend if they followed through of toriels ideals of winning the fight by defeating her in combat

So this feels like a more fair takes from both perspectives frisk who was slaughtered by an entire nation has boiled over to rage and hatred and went on a killing spree and sans who watched it all who saw every friend die at there hand regardless of innocents or not like him and papyrus and the key difference shows frisk his an executioner and sans is a judge sans lets most of this go in a neutral run but this is something that can't be brushed of it is evil the killed everyone with only a small pocket alive regardless of innocents regardless of them fleeing where i felt like the theme in hall was more one sided but hey thats my take

Can we get the instrumentals? I really want to use this for a cool boss fight in dnd but i cant really use it cause of lyrics, also i want to try figure out some parts of the song but its tuff to hear what is what when there is singing.

I like how this song doesn't pretend like Chara's the one who killed the monsters. The real bad guy is the player, who controlles Frisk. The player decides what they do, but in-game, Frisk is the bad guy. They were the one who decided to keep killing monsters. Chara only takes away control once they've reached LV 20.
Chara killed themselves to instigate a war between monsters and humans and is the reason evey human after them is killed. I dare say they are the main villain of undertale
@@AmbyrRavyn I don't think Chara was a great person, but I think they had reasons for why they acted the way they did. A child who hates all of humanity isn't a thing you see often. You could think this was because they were evil, but they seemed to love monsters. They didn't kill a single one of them. Instead they found a family, who they seemed to love. (If you accept that Chara is the narrator theory, they seem to love their family even after so many years, because they stay silent during the genocide run while you're fighting Toriel and Asgore.)
In my opinion they wanted to set monsters free from the underground, so they needed 7 human souls. The first one was the easiest to get since it was their own. The next few would probably come from the humans from wherever Chara lived before they fell to the underground(who probably weren't the nicest to them since they hated humanity *as a child* for some reason).
I think they were traumatized and hated themselves just as much as the other humans. Does that mean the outcome of their actions was good? No, but I wouldn't call then the main villain of undertale.
The human and monster war happened before the monsters were banned to the underground, so no, they didn't start a war directly. They couldn't have known how Asgore or Toriel would act after their death. They shouldn't be blamed for the actions of adults.
Also if you accept that Chara is the narrator theory, they are the one who tell Frisk to SAVE at the end of true pacifist.
I know I'm being charitable, but it's hard for me to see a child as the big bad of the game in which you don't have to hurt anyone. Everyone can change, because everyone has reasons for why they act the way they do. Even the player can change - many never finish the genocide run, because they don't have the heart to kill Papyrus. I think how the player acts impacts Chara.
Sorry for the long rant, I just think they are more complex than some people believe.

This made me think, the Narrator Chara theory makes the pacifist ending kinda sad. Just imagine them hearing Asriel's words to Frisk about the plan, the surface and how Chara wasn't that great and _Frisk_ is the friend he'd actually wanted to have

Well of course frisk is the player you play as them, but story wise i prefer a less meta approach to undertale, the storys better if you don't imagine frisk as a soulless puppet for the player.
@@AmbyrRavyn I'd argue that it has a narrative and a meta-narrative at the same time. "Chara" is the Player in the UT narrative. Their name is our name, we choose it. It appears on SAVEs and in the MENU, in FIGHTS, it's always our shared name. The first human is named by us, after us. I see it as the Player controlling Chara as a game mechanic, as Chara controls Frisk in game lore. Chara breaks the 4th wall at the end to creep us out in a creepypasta style ending. And yes. I shat my pants when I got jumped by them... (metaphorically)

The lyrics '...finally getting to be the bad guy...' made me think about a possible au where the entire 'world' was glitched and whenever Frisk got the monsters out of Mt. Ebott it automatically reset them without consent. They would try different things to see if this 'glitch' would stop but after many forced resets they were just tired. So they decided in a fit of desperation to get any change they would 'be the bad guy' and see if the constant resets stopped.

It's not impossible there could be a no mercy Gaster song, though I admit I'm not super knowledgeable about Gaster since there's so much fanon and not much canon (unless it's in Deltarune)
@@Thedarkbunnyrabbit I imagine frisk would be saying something about the possible things that gaster might have done to either the humans or the souls themselves. Being a scientist for asgore himself, there would probably be some experiments that would make frisk pretty upset.
I also wanted to mention how in some ways frisk would be justifed to defend themselves and kill a monster for attacking them, when it comes to genocide they are basically becoming the very thing they hate even going as far to kill someone as innocent as papyrus.
Despite there being both good and bad on both sides, when the human starts resetting and continuing to kill just for fun that's when i could defend the monsters but then if the human is trying to be kind or defend themselves and the monsters act as if they are in the right is when i defend the human.
Well uhh I think frisk kinda gave up on the whole uh justice gig huh? Finally gave in to that madness and kill them all over and over. I can only wonder how many this frisk will repeat till something new appears?

This is quite an good song. It got few flaws but I really like it.
Frisk voice sounds of, did you use AI? Or you simply overused the sound effects to enchance the void, or simply your microphone isn't that good.
If it comes to lyrics. Well, there are too many things I would point out sounding out of place, most notable part is "Ready to be level 20 now" if it comes to this, it feels forced the most.
Nontheless if you do not use AI actually, your music is quite good, especially if you could afford to get better lyrics. Nontheless this song is quite fire, it got it's imperfections, many, there are too many things to improve to list with lyrics alone, not perfectly or decently combining with the song. But yeah, good luck with your music career.

True reset - reset everything that has ever happened. Erase all traces of your existence. And, start again.
The thing is, I want to know - how would Sans's machine react to all of this? It reads the flow of time (jumping left and right-). But, erase would, technically - just delete it, and, start it all again, from nothing. While true reset - would just erase Frisk's presence. So, basically, his machine - won't notice a thing...
(Also, to people who loves Dusttale - there, it is canon, that Player - exist. And, Sans remembers through some kind of bug/glitch/error. So, even if it was not explained, how it happened, we can write it off as a "Player corrupted some things", and, Sans's role as a "Dirty hacker ending". Though, you can ignore it, as it's just a theory. Also, no, genocide - isn't the first conclusion, that he came to, within those 300+ resets, but, the last one)
To my knowledge his machine is not well explained. It may be represented by the 'ended' timelines. But if it's a true complete reset then his machine likely can't register it.

Or, it could, also, read our deaths/save files? Though, it's "more epic" to think, that Sans is just that good at reading Frisk's emotions, even though, Frisk - is an empty vessel, unlike Kris- wait a minute... Or, not really "empty"? Maybe, Chara's emotions? As there was an additional attack in the end, so, it's likely for Chara to be inside Frisk, and, due to this, Sans was reading Chara's emotions- oh god, it sounds wrong.)

@@nonenothing5009 It's my take that they are aligned in the genocide route. It's Frisk's choice to embark on the path of genocide, but as she does so, Chara gains more strength. This is why at the end of Genocide, Frisk loses any choice in the matter. This indicates to me that what Chara wants is lots of killing, and the more you behave like Chara, the more in-tune your soul becomes with Chara's. It's entirely possible Chara's buttercup move was actually to spark a war for the sake of a war and not out of any kindness.
