lemurs are considered to be their own group as they are only native to Madagascar. From my own experience they can be very aggressive and grippy so copulating with them probably wouldn't be the best idea. Aye Aye's are also lemurs but have a bite that can go through metal and even concrete so I would advise against 'doing it' with them as well XD. love you guys and of course I know this is satire just thought I'd give u guys some interesting facts xx

I must admit, with the title and thumbnail, I really had no idea what to expect. Twenty-five glorious minutes of Hat Chat was certainly welcomed. The background of golf was a nice change, too.

The only problem with the tweets is he's pushed for others to be fired for less. Live by social justice, die by social justice imo.
Found this rather odd. Understand Disney's choice, only sensible to avoid bad PR around such touchy subjects, but these jokes are from long before GotG and he's put out multiple tweets explaining his position, his history as a person And his motivations behind said jokes. He used to be angry and edgy for edgy's sake. He's grown. When do we stop making people pay for their mistakes?
(Though honestly, after reading the jokes, while distasteful, they're obviously JUST jokes and intentionally completely outlandish, and I don't feel like it's fair to characterise them as "mistakes". He didn't work for potentially the largest media company in the world at the time. You could criticise him for lack of general professionalism, but it was his craft at the time. It'd be like criticising Frankie Boyle, who I personally can't stand, for his edgy humour. It's his living).
Edit: Not defending him as a fan btw, I don't like GotG. Really just seemed like an average film to me.
Navi The Fairy Yes, he apologised, but the previous apology was mostly for misogynistic/racist stuff, not the kid stuff. He also didn't delete the tweets. The tweets were some of the worst shit I've ever seen in one of these 'outrage mob' tweets. He has millions of fans that are children, so this was a no brainer for me. One of the tweets was actually a potential CP link.
Unfortunately the current social environment takes great joy in crucifying someone. I assume seeing someone's career being stomped on makes others feel better about themselves? The guys mentioned Louis C. K. in their video and he's another example. He didn't do anything wrong (Asked adult women for permission and they gave it) yet he was still treated as a rapist in many ways.

A large proportion of his "jokes" centered around children being involved in sexual activities. That is not excusable.

In regards to the Musk thing, the diver pointed out how/why the sub wouldn't work in the cave system and noted how Musk knew this as he visited the cave, yet he still pushed on promoting it online. There is no question it was a PR stunt.

I have to say that I particularly enjoyed the irony of the Hats bashing on shock-value humour when it's been their go-to comedy for years.
I don’t think that Elon should’ve publicised what he was doing so proudly. It’s not a surprise that he could’ve made a device to save the kids, and that’s where I think people got annoyed. It’s like yes we know you’re rich af and you could help but you don’t need to publicly display how great you are and how much of a saint you are when the only real reason for it in this out of context scenario is that he is rich. He should of helped yes, should he of been so proud of it no. Another example would be a professional footballer beating a non professional footballer and being oh so proud that he beat the guy. There’s just no need for it.
in my opinion what he was doing is saying "look i'm not just some rich guy who SAYS he is going to help, here is the thing that i actually am working on"
I think getting rid of him was the right decision from their point of view, keeping him on isn't worth the risk that something more serious will come out in the future and people saying they ignored the warning signs

Part of the controversey thing with Mike Cernovich / James Gunn was that James Gunn was leading encouraging twitter/social media hate mobs about Cernovich or others dark humour on social media platforms, then now in turn gets a hate mob on him for the same thing. So it was petty of Cernovich to attack him in this way, it was a victory for him, but something of a pyrrhic one, because it made him something of a hypocrite. The underlying politics here was that James Gunn is left wing and Cernovich is a right wing moderate conservative and twitter is heavily biased towards left wing individuals, outlets and opinions on its platform. All in all it was just a pretty dissapointing display of humanity for the sake of claiming a few scalps for 'their side'.

Many people who are against immigration seem to be completely apathetic to the situation, the majority of these people trying to get somewhere else aren't coming from some fabulous resort community, they are fleeing terrible conditions and are risking the situation where they are going because anything to them is better than what they were dealing with. Its either hypocritical to say that these people at bad because wouldn't you do the same thing if it was your family that was in danger/in a horrible situation, OR you are simply a terrible person that would just let their family suffer because of the dirt you happened to be born on.
People don't choose who they are born to or where they are born, if that was the case it might be different, but the fact is that some people are forced into this world and have horrible situations that they are simply trying to get out of to better their lives, no different than any other normal person. If you want to put any blame then it needs to go where the fault lies, with those responsible for those terrible conditions, not the ones trying to survive however they can.

From what I understand the person who called Mr Gunn out on Gunns edgy jokes did so to call out hipocracy for people condemning his own edgy jokes.
So I would imagine that this 'Right-winger', did so intentionally because he himself made an edgy joke. So pointing out and criticising him for being hypocritical for having previously made his Date rape joke seems to me means that you have missed the point of him pointing out Gunns own edgy jokes.
AKA. Dont make edgy jokes then criticise people for making edgy jokes.

Either way, I don't really care about James Gunn, and I'll happily see another director take a crack at GoTG.
Not gonna lie i'm a bit disappointed that you gave even a small benefit of the doubt to Musk. All his 'ideas' were dumb a fuck and no, I don't need to come up with my own ideas to say this because I, like most people, were happy that highly trained rescue divers were on the case. I don't think you should be punished or condemned for being bad at jokes. The implicit sin in all this was pedophilia, which is a pretty extreme suggestion based on some tweets. Twitter has let all of us communicate openly, publicly, and lots of us believe we are much funnier than we are. We will say things that are bad. Saying bad things is not bad. Doing bad things is bad. A world where we are policed on saying bad things, either politically or socially, is a world without provocative humour.
Gunn deserves what he got tbh.
He’s not making a joke about rape. He’s explaining the irrationality of date rape. In other words: how is it possible to consider “date rape” as a form of rape if there is no force involved. I personally do not believe there is any truth to his statement, but I do think that is the message he is trying to communicate.

I never knew anything about James Gunn before this, but some of those tweets were pretty funny. Sad how modern outrage culture and the social media witch hunt got the poor guy fired for some off-colour jokes. Seems like we're entering an age where people with no sense of humour get to dictate what everyone is allowed to say.

What happened to James Gunn was highly uncalled for and the decision to fire him was a terrible one on Disney's behalf. If Disney are going to fire people for bad jokes from 10 years ago, they'd have to fire the majority of their staff since other employees have definitely made bad jokes. I understand why they fired him, they have a brand image to keep and a reputation but Guardians was Gunn's child and he was fired for a bad decision 10 years ago, which he apologised for.
Edit: Not trying to defend it but talking about the "RT (person) I like it when boys" etc, that was in the day when that *was* the Retweeting format, where you could make it look like somebody had said something they really didn't. He didn't actually retweet anything.

Plus, as someone with such a following he should be far more responsible over what he’s tweeting. These are jokes for the back pages of reddit. Hes a sodding moron, and thats a reason enough for firing. I doubt anything else will happen to him though. Love his movies regardless.
BatChicken1 He apologised for the kid jokes only after they surfaced. They were still on his Twitter feed until a few days ago. This is a man with millions of child fans who has things like 'I like when little boys touch me in my silly place' on his timeline. Along with the fact that his current twitter feed was a cesspool of insane political opinions, it's a nobrainer that he was fired.
I realise that it was more than one joke, but this was far *before* he was even hired to do Guardians, so most likely before he was popular. It had been 10 years - he had changed as a person entirely, and even the cast of the movie don't support what Disney did. I also find it wrong that the guy who dug up the tweets and caused him to get fired was just a kid who didn't support Gunn's views on Trump, and somebody who also doesn't believe in date rape. Bit hypocritical.
His political opinions have nothing to do with why he was fired.
What private buisness, a family oriented one no less, would keep a public figure employed when it comes out they post things like Gunn did? He's not a "dark comedian" known or employed for controversial jokes, thats not what Disney hired him for nor should they be forced as a private company to employ someone that doesn't fit with what they feel is their brand. Pro tip: If you're a highly public figure with a social media account and you represent a company, like Disney it's probably not a good idea to post highly controversial stuff on your feed. It's literally a no brainier Disney would axe him, as a buisness who's goal is profit their calculation is they make more without Gunn in the long run.
Gunn only has himself to blame for posting such stupid stuff on an easily searchable public forum.

ah you can tell you are an american (not in an offensive way) over here in the uk we have comedians like Frankie Boyale who say way way worse than what hate films has ever said on public tv and no one really cares as we like our dark humor quite a bit, as long as no one commits the acts they joke about then im all for the more horrific the joke the better

His tweets shouldn't have surprised anyone. Before Guardians James Gunn worked with an indie film company called Troma, which specializes in gross out and shock humor. If you watch any of their films Gunn's tweets would seem tame in comparison.
