It is this way because the mechanisms of democracy we once took for granted have been profoundly undermined by Trudeau and Singh, who have exactly zero respect for Canadian law, the Canadian constitution, and the Charter. Similarly, a large segment of the Canadian population no longer believes in the nation's founding principles, i.e., freedom of thought, of conscience, of expression and of the press, bodily autonomy and personal security, democracy, the rule of law, capitalism, etc. Canada's problems are rooted in its waning culture, from which its politics are downstream. It will take more than one man holding one office to undo the damage. For this reason, I will be leaving Canada. He did not spend his youth surf-boarding, snow-boarding, partying and working as a bouncer in a Whistler BC bar. \\all that is very colorful....but does not run a country. As for Ms. Freeland she has worked in journalism (writing for a newspaper) and has a degree in the extremely obscure subject of 'Slavic Languages' which the issuing university says is good for work in non-legal translation, being a museum guide etc. Ms. Freeland found the degree to suit her studies as she was already fluent in a Slavic language....Ukrainian..the language of her mother and her Grandfather who worked as a Nazi newspaper Editor in Poland during WWII before escaping to Canada. Mr. Poilievre obviously takes his role in life very seriously, and consequently will quite obviously go on to become a fine, moral, knowledgeable and effective Prime Minister.
