It’s for the safety of victims; sometimes seeing reenactments of events they experienced in real life can trigger bad memories, severe depression, panic attacks, and even suicide; ESPECIALLY when it comes to sexual abuse. Think before you criticize.
@@matthewcardoza1190that is why there is often a warning before the video plays. Its a double edged sword really, scaring people into not doing something, or being insensitive to victims
There was a PSA from the UK. The caption was, "Parental Suicide scars children for life." It showed two boys and a girl. The method of their parents Suicide appeared on them. On one boy, a bullet hole, on the girl, a wound from her mother cutting her wrist, and on the other boy, marks from the rope his mother used. When I saw that, I started to cry. I attempted suicide twice, and I wondered what mark I would have left on my kids. They have a blurred version, but it didn't have the impact that it had unedited. Maybe someone who was thinking of taking their own life would see this and get help

that German PSA about not using your phone while driving is really bad as a PSA, like yea it's good as a short film but the message is just slapped on, the way it builds up is not connected to the message
the scottish sexual violence PSA is great, the way it's quick and simple, the way it urge you to think about it yourself, the way the twist worked with the build up to send the message home. tbh what it lacks is probably some impact, the way it's far too sterile while showing and discussing sexual harassments made it a bit like it was trivial, if it was me i'd show some actual (some censored) picture of the actual case from each
it’s actually really sad to see people getting bullied, I’ve been bullies by my cousin and he would always punch me, hit me, bump into me with all his force, and he would trip me in class by embarrassing me. I know it isn’t as bad as other peoples situations getting bullied and I wish them the best, but bullying isn’t funny once that u are in someone getting builled shoes, ur body pains a lot or it really hurts ur health and lowers your self esteem, and bullying experience caused MY mental health to get worse and probably also made other peoples worse. It really isn’t funny, bullying is a serious topic once that u get builied yourself. Stay safe.❤
and the worst part is that during that time (around 2015-2019) These bullying videos had become more of a trend in Malaysia to the point that these videos are insanely common in our internet. And the ones shown on that PSA are references to the real versions of those videos where the bullying and abuse is very much real and probably worst.

Also, a whole crew of news people, a search party, and posters of her everywhere wouldn't happen in a single night. It takes days to form a search party, and the news wouldn't broadcast her disappearance immediately, unless she was some sort of celebrity. Posters of her disappearance would be a sort of last hope. @@Xx_D4RK_K1N_xX never said kids can drink and drive, appealing to kids is good because it can teach them at a young age drinking and driving is bad, or if theyre in a situation where someone is drinking and trying to drive they can try and get out of it! and also teens, i know teens that REALLY like barbie (myself included, i'm a collector of barbies!) that this PSA would appeal to more than others
sorry i went on a little rant, i wanted to explain myself ^^" /gen
Also she says basically says that people with one eye aren't pretty. Which is a terrible lesson tbh.
39:45 intressting concept for an ad. It having 2 endings is uniqqe
18:41 You can see the man realize and try to take the child out. Because of the low cuality, I can't see well, but he looks shocked, not happy or excited
it looks like he’s smiling to me, and I don’t think a video trying to say something is bad would show a good thing happening
@@malicELLeACID It does happen some times. But hey. That's just a theory, a GAAAME theory
I think he’s trying to take the child’s top off- I don’t know but I definitely saw him smiling
Nah bro if he wouldn't be there if he didn't know what was going on
I stayed till the last one. It made me cry so much.
I wish my parents are like that, grew up in Asian family makes everything so hard to express myself even to my lovely parents.
I feel that. Even in an American family (especially in the Southern portion like mine) it can be hard to voice what you really feel. Pretty ironic since we're all about freedom of speech haha. But hey, good news is that you always have someone out there who will listen. It can be a friend or stranger, but pushing yourself out of that cage feels good once you realize everyone has the key to unlock it.
21:19 BITE THE FIRE it's like bite the curb LMAOOOOOOOO
The one with the no woman should give up a life to give one made me cry not scared.
A little way in, I remembered how bad Black women's maternal mortality is in the U.S., and my heart just *sank*.
32:28 anyone else just thought that they meant "sharks are getting killed because of marriage. don't get married"
Yeah, at least until the end
Yeah tbh..
It’s because shark fin soup is a traditional dish used to celebrate weddings
@@shunwong7469 iceland?
Singaporean here, I’ll explain, in most Chinese weddings here, shark fin soup is often served as a dish, this is because it supposedly is a nutritious soup, however there has been research conducted showing the opposite of that. That makes this even sadder, because it truly means that the sharks were tortured alive and killed for nothing :(

Thank you. Thank you for spreading awareness.
Happy Holidays Dave and Sabe!! Excellent video, I'm always amazed you make videos with new or uncommon ones!!!
10:37 Oh, dear. Some people are just incredibly stupid to just kill someone like that. 🤦♂️ A man killing a woman just because she’s a woman? That’s one of the stupidest things a guy could ever do. Happy Women’s History month, and may every woman have the rights that they deserve. 🥺🎗️
Collect other men for us, please. They don't realize you're cringing and shock-laughing at their rape jokes, they think you agree.
Dude I was about to make a long-winded comment about the “stand your ground” psa, but that MADD Barbie one was so fucking weird. Just a super casual “male rape is funny” joke, and Barbie saying “I used to be pretty but now I have one eye”? Like fucked up in all the wrong ways
I almost audibly went “tf?” In class when it got to that. Personally I don’t think they got the message across that well
exactly what i was thinking. great message, _horrible_ execution
Tbh confused me.
yeah, not to mention using crossed eyes to make ken look stupid. strabismus is a legitimate disability but you never see it on characters unless they're supposed to be stupid or silly, which has awful implications
The bullying ones reallyyyy broke my heart 😭 These PSA's need to be spread around so an actual change can be made...
The German road safety one is actually very good
I don't like it when UA-cam blurs things. I have Mental health issues so I avoid things that overly upset me. My point is that blurring PSAs reduce their impact
Maybe someone who was thinking of taking their own life would see this and get help
i think it's so the video won't be taken down for violating the guidelines
36:29 that shouldn't have made me laugh but 😂
the bonus one put me in shambles

the barbie and ken one?😭
my black is beautiful was so powerful
This one was really hard to get through, for some reason (and I mean that in the best way possible). Thank you for including the bonus PSA at the end - a little bittersweet to go with the scary was nice.
21:31 I feel as most teachers don’t put enough into stopping bullying, one day they are threatening to call their parents, what if their parents support their behaviour, what if their parents aren’t gullible. Please, schools, be honest, who is paying the medical bills if children get hurt.
Their parents.
14:51 are we just not gonna talk about how they fr put a black person for the slave ad?
We Dont Know
I think its supposed to hit even more for african Americans.
The african american slaves fought so hard for their freedom for many years on end.
These many efforts they went through were just so they could be FREE Americans.
Though, lets bring on the topic of the problem.
There was cash crops.
One of these cash crops were *_TOBACCO._*
Think about it.
Well, back in time, slaves were usually or always black people. Luckily now that’s illegal, but dear god, how can humans be so goddamn evil and sick.
As a victim of cocsa (child on child sx assault), n18 hit me right in the gut. I live in France too, and I think they should air it again because it portrays the struggle all too well. I've hid this for almost 8 years now and just told my family. It destroyed it.
If youre a victim of incest or sa of any kind, speak up. There'll always be someone by your side. And if not, I'm here. Take care of yourself
I’m 10 and recently my 8 YEAR OLD friend made me a cocsa victim and also made her younger brother a cocsa victim too
Was that Sir Ian McKellen and the late Paul O'Grady in that ad?!!
I was wondering the same thing!
If he's not, he could be his twin brother!
21:05 this is the PSA from the thumbnail. Warning: it has a high impact, and deals with bullying.
35:26 you know a psa is wholesome when it doesn’t have any viewer discretions or warnings/guidelines on the top
19:44 This scream makes me cry.
The first PSA was basically the TL;DR meme
"Meteor hits Earth women most affected"
I'm so happy that the last PSA is actually a positive, heartwaming one, and a Portuguese one as well! 🇵🇹❤️
Not all PSAs have to be sad and negative, and this one proves it right.
Every Christmas, Vodafone (an internet company) does this adverts that reminds people about connection and love. Some of these adverts even become popularized in portuguese culture.
Glad to see these adverts being recognized internationally 🥹
These were really good, thank you for sharing them. God Bless You & stay safe.

and they were based on real life cases.

44:04 WHAT THE FUCK 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
‘Yo pal your soap just fell’
Quick question: On number two, the flowers that are the main catcher for the PSA aeound Global Warming, Do they have a Official name?
Yes, they are called Antarctic pearlworts, or Colobanthus quitensis.
How does the first one manage to be two whole PSAs at once? That's interesting and i did NOT expect the heart attack
thats the whole point, its trying to show that you'll never expect a heart attack, just like in psa
the ''Blue Eyes'' one is pretty underrated.
that German PSA about not using your phone while driving is really bad as a PSA, like yea it's good as a short film but the message is just slapped on, the way it builds up is not connected to the message
the scottish sexual violence PSA is great, the way it's quick and simple, the way it urge you to think about it yourself, the way the twist worked with the build up to send the message home.
tbh what it lacks is probably some impact, the way it's far too sterile while showing and discussing sexual harassments made it a bit like it was trivial, if it was me i'd show some actual (some censored) picture of the actual case from each
it’s actually really sad to see people getting bullied, I’ve been bullies by my cousin and he would always punch me, hit me, bump into me with all his force, and he would trip me in class by embarrassing me. Stay safe.❤
NOOO, What are you doing to that poor shark?
I just thought the same thing:(
The like and share ones are so accurate, people record anything and it's so sad :(
and the worst part is that during that time (around 2015-2019) These bullying videos had become more of a trend in Malaysia to the point that these videos are insanely common in our internet.
And the ones shown on that PSA are references to the real versions of those videos where the bullying and abuse is very much real and probably worst.
Ngl the 5th one should be a movie
Imagine you’re at a friends house and then your parents call the police telling about you getting missing, that’s strange
The last one was pure fuzzies fuel, but talk about whiplash! Well played. XD

The most horrifying part of 14 was defiantly the screams of the children off screen
“For Her” had my jaw drop. i don’t even know what to say.
Exactly
The no texting and driving PSA was so stupid 💀 They chose the most stupid way to spread awareness.. Like most people would see that and be like "damn Imma just answer then, cause I don't want the whole damn town and police station out lookin for me like that, tf-", not to mention, it's so easy to just find a safe place and pull over and answer someone who was worried about you..
If someone spams calls you yea, maybe you should pull over💀We can connect our calls to the car so my mum answers like that
Also, a whole crew of news people, a search party, and posters of her everywhere wouldn't happen in a single night. It takes days to form a search party, and the news wouldn't broadcast her disappearance immediately, unless she was some sort of celebrity. Posters of her disappearance would be a sort of last hope. It made no sense whatsoever.
Dude i love your channel

“Oh, that’s sad.. 😢”
“Oh.. That’s so sweet… 🥺😭”
I love how the HIV PSA at 29 starts off in a similar manner to a lot of Cancer treatment ads, only to show how it's still harmful in other ways
