It's Eric Barker again. Thanks for replying and keeping an eye open for me. You mentioned living in Laburnum Avenue. So did my grandparents at no 16 now a dentists and my dad grew up there. In the 50s my uncle beritie still lived there and I remember weeding his front " garden ". Mr Backley who was a master Baker and had a shop on the High Street near Border Road lived at no 18
Murphy's shop was great for getting car parts, if you just needed a bulb or anything small he usually just gave it to you without charging anything.Try doing that at Halfords !
The Hardware shop at the bottom of High Street is fantastic like an Aladins Cave and you can see everything on sale, if he/she does not have what you want you can be sure they will get it for you ,as I can vouch for been using it for years
Have seen Shops No 6 where you flag up locations of my grandad's shops beside the Anchor and Calvert's. Please check my reply on Video No. 5. Cheers, Eric Barker
@@EricBarker-j6b I think youtube does hide comments at times, there's a lot I don't actually see sadly. So far nothing, but, I am hoping I might find an advert or a news report at some point in time. I will keep an eye out and hopefully something will turn up.
Thank you all for watching.
Thank you, Julie. I look forward to your videos
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoy them.
