You guys are so entertaining. I enjoy your souk trips so much. You took me back to my childhood when my mom used to take me to the souk with her for Grocery shopping and she always ended up buying the whole place just because things smelt amazingly fresh and appetising . People are so kind and helpful and are in need of money in this pandemic time. Thank you for supporting our economy and not bargaining very hard. Enjoy.

I like how you take it easy, as long as you and the sellers are both happy, you don't bother about dopping the price for couple dirhams (they give you a smile which worth more than a dirham).
At the end of the day you seem to have got it right : 1) you have a nice exchange with them 2) they all seem to love you as one of their favourite clients 3) you are happy 4) they are happy.

Living in a country like Morocco when you have dollars is way cheaper than the US. 1 USD equals 9 DHS. 20 USD cannot get you much in the US (mostly a Mac and soda) while here you can buy so many stuff. It brings to my mind Europeans especially French tourists, who are usually tightwad, complaining about the prices sometimes. What you need to get a simple breakfast in France can get you 3 meals in Morocco.
