I still don't understand why Plarium doesn't have more permanent fusions available. Skull Lord could still easily be set to a permanent fusion as something for new players to work up to, farming for 16 skullsworn to fuse up...
Mine was my 3rd Legendary...I tried to keep him at 50 and beat Scarab King. He would get to about 15% and fall over. I maxed him out and he OWNED this boss. What a relief to know that Scarab King is on farm with 1 champ. (no books)

I've had a 5* unascended Skull Lord in shield set just stacking HP 1shot the FW21 boss. It literally lagged for a bit and then he just did the repeating animation (unlike Fushan who does all his extra hits instantly on the swing) and I thought the game bugged but turns out it wasn't.
Good to see Skull Lord actually have an area on the game where he fights as intimidating as he looks 😅, one of the coolest looking champs in the game, and now he can literally go beast mode, and I'll actually stay around to watch it

skull lord was first fusion champ I managed to get. I have seen his hidden potential when exping him without a gear , was unkillable on campaign, or even later in early stages of faction wars. Now he truly managed to shine and work on his title Lord

I had difficulty on scarab on floor 100 with skull lord. Regen and immunity were not enough to keep him alive. I brought duchess and 3 healers along and was able to beat him after a solid 20 minutes. I'd be interested to see how you approach floor 100 using skull lord. Much appreciated, thanks for the video.
Yeah, I've been failing at level 100 as well. I cranked up all his gear to 16 and have much higher stats than in this video, using regen *and* immortal set for even more regen...and still can't survive. Edit: I think we need a bloodshield accesory (ring, amulet, banner). I don't have any for lizards, unfortunately. I'm not sure how you won with Duchess and healers on 100 though. I can keep my team alive forever, but whenever I get Scarab down to around 25% health remaining, he steals some of Duchess's healing buffs and takes himself back to 50%. Any tips to break through for the future?
After looking at it multiple times, it looks like the HP Max reduction is affected by the number of champions being hit. When all 3 Champions are alive you see huge chunks of HP get removed, then it lessens when Ithos dies and lessens even more when only Skull Lord is left. If I had him, I'd give it a few tests to see if he removes that much HP at the start when he comes in alone.
The passive simply has to be bugged, or the tooltip is in error, as they do not match at all. The Plarium post said 'this is not a bug' as a way of introducing the change to Skull Lord.
I was using him only in faction war and didnt put any books on him but after the buff, I used him in Scarab, Holy shit he is so OP. thought it was a bug. Nice video HH!! Great reaction too. haha

I had a lvl 35 no books, no artifacts skull lord and used it for the whole normal/hard tower combined with other 4 random champions. With only 4 turns surviving, he decreased enemy max hp by more than 25%. TOTALLY INSANE. His stats were: 19k hp, 900 def. Literally nothing equipped on him. NUTS
I’m guessing that as his max hp decreases the amount of shield being removed decreases as well. That’s why it goes down in smallen chunks towards the end.
It went down slower towards the end because the blood shield absorbed some of Scarab's danage, therefore the amount (not percentage) of max HP damage was less

Ever since you uploaded the buff video, I put Skull Lord into my Scarab team, and he does great. I have to get him properly geared and 6 stared, but as of now, he is still doing great at 50.
Hell Hades, please test again on your comment about BloodShield. I believe you do NEED one. I have exactly same build as you except for Damage and HP was never enough to survive. With 1 Bloodshield RING i now have constant near FULL HP all through the solo fight. I think its when the boss removes the shield that slows him down to some extent and HP remains constantly HIGH. Thanks
i dont think its that the boss has to get through the shield (although that will help). its that the boss doesnt counter-attack when you attack. so the boss only attacks you on his turn. where as without bloodshield he will counter-attack when you do, so you are having to heal up the counter-attack damage PLUS the boss turn damage. This can become too much if you dont get Descrease Atk up every now and then
Woah that's insane number of hits there! If I counted right, he repeated his A1 9x. Before, I was using Skull Lord in the demon lord CB (force affinity) because of his A1, but the max repeat I counted so far was only until 7x...this video made me remember those days when I use him on the CB. Very nice indeed

I did also have to use a fully ascended Rotos and a level 60 (5*) melga steelgirdle, a fully ascended Valla in destroy set, and a fully ascended doompriest in order to complete. Mind you, I do not have great gear, so will probably be easier for others.
I just completed Doom Tower Hard and I used this guy for damn near every boss. He's absolutely busted. You can basically just throw away half the boss' HP in the first few rounds, which make some slow'n'steady strategies work without running out the turn counter.
When there are 5 keeps, minator, 4 dungeons, 8 doom tower bosses, demon lord, 6 hydra heads, campaign, and PVP; is a buff for 1 boss, even if it is a massive buff for that boss, actually a buff?

I've had him in my Magma dragon team for quite awhile, fully booked ... will have to see him in Scarab too :-) I rebuilt him with the GS/counter masteries + regen set, high 330+ ACC / 221ish speed, HP like 67k and he did die, but got MaxHP down on the boss pretty fast and cut my run with Vergis finishing down to 10:31min on auto, saved at least 5min :-)
I opened up close to 150 ancient shards and I only got about six Epix two of them duplicates you know how hard it is to open 150 charge and to get more than 140 rares when none of them are really good these red Champions are not good what Apothecary and I got them all they need to do something about these odds the pool Champion keeps growing but the odds don't
I started just when they dropped the skull lord fusion, that was in April of 2020. It could've been such an easy fusion to pick up tbh but as a beginner with no idea how the game works I let it slip. Over time, seeing how generally he was a crap champion, I was kind of glad, I didn't do the fusion. Seeing these results though makes me wanna get one just to have a bit of fun lol

I spent nearly 30M silver rolling regen gear and Lizard accessories for Skull Lord, and every different build I made failed miserably on 50 hard, whether it be high damage, survivability, or high resist. Mine is level 60, fully booked. 😢 [EDIT] - I sacrificed a little hp/defense/resistance for 26 more speed and used Versulf for the HP aura, and I finally beat it!!
How many hits on the start of the video?! I said i try him there too, he didnt solo it me but it worked and now i dont need the set (forgot the name) not anymore
has almost same build without blood shield accessory and was not working. As he is counterattacking the extra hits I think. With blood shield I had a tiny shield for the additional hits and I was able to beat him. Just the blood shield accessory made a huge difference

Mine was too. I tried to make it work at level 50 but just couldn't get the stats needed. I leveled him earlier today (after watching video saying that he is "working as intended" from Plarium) and he can TRULEY solo this boss.
It was actually awful. First fusion I attempted back when I still had all that banked early resources. Spent like 10k energy farming that stupid campaign level at 90s per run with my level 50 farming Executioner to get all 16 Skullsworns. But I wouldn't have been able to complete it if they did the typical dungeon event/tournament requirements back at that level of account progression. And since then I've pulled 2 dupes of him.
I have a dupe skull lord that has been equally useless until now, would the 2nd one also reduce the shield or would it only count once per boss attack?
isnt it better to build him in lifesteal since he's def based champ and u build him for high dmg? I mean with his a1 extra hits I think he might heal way more than in regen set
I've had skull lord for it seems like a couple years lol. He was in my main team, for awhile, then eventually I vaulted him. After buff I removed, now back in teams. Nice buff!!!!! Lmao
I actually have above 60k hp, 4,3k defense and a speed of 237. But my skull lord gets killed within 5min on 50 every time. Put him in regen/speed set and gave him the masteries shown in the video. What am I doing wrong???
You still want to use a bloodshield accessory otherwise you get counterattacked every time you attack. I made a +4 Skull-Lord in regen and immortal, 78k HP, 3.7k DEF, 236 speed and he couldn't survive all those extra counterattacks. Added a bloodshield ring and he solos it easily now.with 6 minute runs
In theory with the new buff would a scrapper and skull lord team work since scrapper does increased damage off of how much max he the opponent has lost?
Lord Champfort in a regen set has been my go to champ for scarab and most of doom tower normal so far. Maybe time to 6* my Skull lord for when I up the difficulty.

Actually i love ithos on scarab. I cna't wait when we can have separate AI set up for waves and bosses. Clear waves then A1 scarab.

If you don't give him a shield and have buffs on him scarab will do more hits and in return more damage to max hp

His max HP stopped going down because Skull Lord's passive cannot drop the target's MAX HP more than 50%.

The passive is reducing the Max HP by more than 2.5% it's clear to see, if they're confident it's not bugged. Then there is a type in the tool tip.

Is Giant Slayer better than Warmaster? It’s technically 2 hits but on repeat right? Will the repeats not trigger Warmaster?

I've had skull lord for it seems like a couple years lol. He was in my main team, for awhile, then eventually I vaulted him. After buff I removed, now back in teams. Nice buff!!!!! Lmao

I actually have above 60k hp, 4,3k defense and a speed of 237. But my skull lord gets killed within 5min on 50 every time. Put him in regen/speed set and gave him the masteries shown in the video. What am I doing wrong???

You still want to use a bloodshield accessory otherwise you get counterattacked every time you attack. I made a +4 Skull-Lord in regen and immortal, 78k HP, 3.7k DEF, 236 speed and he couldn't survive all those extra counterattacks. Added a bloodshield ring and he solos it easily now.with 6 minute runs
built mine very similar to yours but less crit, for some reason the scarab gets several turns at a time and nukes my vargall
Soon as I seen the buff update I check this out and he definitely is now a game changer.

In theory with the new buff would a scrapper and skull lord team work since scrapper does increased damage off of how much max he the opponent has lost?

Lord Champfort in a regen set has been my go to champ for scarab and most of doom tower normal so far. Maybe time to 6* my Skull lord for when I up the difficulty.

Like HH said its was Vault bum old skull lord and I couldnt do Scarab and get guess what a lvl 50 smashed the boss to bit unreal lol thank you Plarium

It's Skull Lord's passive. Anyone hitting him (except for Clan Boss and Hydra) lose max HP
“Take a rest” must be a British saying. Does it mean “Relax” or “cooldown” ? He may says it a lot.
