Waino: A classy player and classy human being. Would love to see him in the Cardinals broadcasting booth one of these days.

Waino is a big guy. Hopefully he’s putting everything he has into preparing for this final season. I wish him well.

Adams like a big kid LOL.
Man you know what I want so bad for Adam??
The CY Young!! He goes for it every year and he has finished top 3 in Cy Young award voting 4 times man....
I just really hope and pray that he can get it this year, it would be so cool!! He would be a for-sure Hall of Fame if he had that award I think.
I think he's going to get in the Hall of Fame eventually anyways because his numbers are great. Closed out the World series as a closer and pitched as a starter too. Many awards and accomplishments. 200 plus wins.
I think he's already in there but that CY Young award is a guarantee if he gets it, in my opinion.
Not to mention he holds the battery record with Yadier Molina... That is big time. I think he's a Hall of famer, especially after 200 wins.
His longevity and the fact that he's always been a winning pitcher for many years is what's going to get him there along with the battery record the 200 wins the top three four different times in cy young voting. He there!!

My son was lucky enough to have Waino catch a rolling foul ball along the bench In Miami, Waino leaned over n snagged it with his hat and tossed it to him, he was looking for a kid, we were first row but to his left, I yelled kid here, he smiled n tossed him the ball. Next year in spring training in Abacoa, Jupiter(we had a condo 100 yards from the stadium in Abacoa) we had the same seats as Miami n Yadi caught strike 3 on 3 outs n on his way to the dugout tossed my son the ball. Waino n Yadi, his 2 fav players both through him a game ball. Stuff like that u never forget. So glad to be a cards fan n be apart of this since 1982(born in 1980) went to world series in 82 and many other playoff n world series games, Atlanta etc. My dad passed a few years ago N I still cherish all the games we watched n went to, my fondest memories with him were watching the Cards . Cards are by far the best organization n it's a privilege to be from St Louis(Ladue) n a die hard cards fan for life.
My father was in radio so we had press passes to some games n got to go in the locker room when Darrel Kyle and Matt Morris were there. I was a pitcher in college at the time and got curveball advice from Kyle. It was spring training the year he passed, n felt so lucky to meet him before his untimely death, he was so nice and helpful when he could have told me to buzz off, he almost did bc he saw the press pass around my neck n thought I was gonna hound him with media shit. When he realizes I just wanted advice he got the biggest smile n sat with Me for a good 15 minutes.
I feel so blessed to have all these found memories and hopefully more to come!

@@CharlieMarlowSTL ty. Was very blessed. A few of my dad's stations were in NW Arkansas (Fayetteville) and Kansas City and the Keys. Had the rights to ESPN until clear channel snuck in and out bid him, but then just got the rights to Fox sport in AR and broadcast the cards for a while so we got hooked up with cardinal stuff.

@@CharlieMarlowSTL UA-cam doesn't allow you to post url links, but if you Google:
      Steve Butler sells radio stations
      And
      Steve Butler radio stations Fayetteville
The first 3 articles for each we're for him. Was so proud, he came from nothing, broken home, poor, but set his dreams and lived them, while making deals to get us cardinal privileges, even though that station showed no profits lol. We were very blessed and every Cardinals video or game makes me think of him. Love listening to everyone of ur vids as it makes me remember our cardinal memories.

It's unfair how likeable of a guy Waino always is. 🤣

Jamie Moyer won 90 games after he turned 40 and Wino is a better pitcher in his 40s so far. As long as he is pitching well he should keep going.

Gotta love ole “Uncle Charlie!” Been fun watching the past 15-20 seasons. I would still like to hear the true feelings of how Waino & Yadi feel about having Pujols STEAL their farewell tour last season.
There were T-shirts and plans already being developed before “Mo” gave Pujols his final curtain call as a Cardinal. Especially after Pujols decided to leave the Cards in 2011 after he didn’t get the money/contract from StL he wanted. I felt like bringing Pujols back to the Cards had something to do with Yadi reporting late to Spring Training and his entire performance for 2022. Now it seems, Waino will get his own farewell tour… JMO

I wish him well but my biggest fear is he's toast and should have walked away after last year.
