Rostock Locomotive at his peak out of TDF. Very strange for him to run a one-day-race with this level of performance.
Wonder if he wanted to be a whole year Racer...he could win from Spring to Autum an amount of races: good un small group sprints, terrific at flat, powerful on hills and top of the tops in a long day journey efforts. The whole package!

Full ack. I nearly watched Jan during his whole career and I'm still thrilled from his powerhouse, his stamina and especially from his style. So smooth, simply beautiful. He used the biggest gears and made it look so easy. Jan showed us like no other the beauty and the easyness of cycling.
