I got to see Largent and the Hawks at the Chargers on 12-14-86 with the Hawks winning 34-24 (which was #30 of your LARGENT's TOP 50 GAMES video) that's when I became a Seahawks fan. He was a class act on and off the field. No gloves.Tough as nails (only missed 6 games in his 14 year career). With fairly average Q.B.'s and on mostly bad Seattle teams.Still a 1st ballot Hall of Famer!! Thank you Fort Knox for all your videos...GREAT WORK!!!
No gloves, no big personality, old school football rules/big hits, even with a backup QB at times, Largent still gets it done. Most guys wouldnt have survived that hit in week 1 (and would have been illegal now). The Houston Oilers must have been kicking themselves, watching his 14 year, 7x pro bowl career play out. Amazing video, even his mistakes and love the side stories from commentators/interviews/etc.. great work! Steve Largent was 1 of 1, it shows you what hard work and determination can do. 👍
The NFL would throw the book at Mike Harden for the hit he put on Largent if that happened today. At minimum, a fine AND a suspension. I believe Harden was fined for that hit that knocked Largent out cold, but Largent made damn sure he didn't forget what happened 14 weeks later in Seattle.
The NFL continues to completely block footage of 1988 week 4 49ers @ Seahawks... this is the only 1980s Seahawks game that they block and its bizarre. Perhaps they are hiding something, maybe there is a shot where a young Roger Goodell is deflating footballs on the sideline, I will have to go through the broadcast in detail sometime.
And to think that the Oilers discarded him and he fell in to the Seahawks laps. If the Oilers had Largent in the late 70's/1980, they may have been able to overtake the Squeelers.

You aren't kidding, 2:30 and 1:08:40 for anyone who wants timestamps.

Roger Goodell is a poser.
Steve is the best ever.
At 5:40 is the evidence.
Listen carefully.
