The Galatians 3:11quote is from Habakkuk 2:4 and relates to the proven righteousness of God in regards to faith's role in the Cross:
    Habbakuk 2:4
Behold as for the Proud One, His soul is not right within him, but the Righteous Man shall live (again) in a future moment of time by His own faith (alone).
-- this Old Testament reference says:
    • The (definite article) Proud One must:
    1. not be righteous because of pride
    2. have a choice to become proud, as the Proud One cannot be deemed unrighteous unless freedom to choose was given him.
    =》The Proud One being Satan.
    • The (definite article) Righteous Man must:
    1. die (as in order to live again -future tense-, He must first die)
    2. have a body (in order to die, He must first have a corporeal body)
    3. rise from the dead (in order to live again, He must experience a bodily resurrection)
=》The Righteous Man being Jesus Christ
Faith in Habakkuk 2:4 is the Hebrew word for faithfulness. It is assumed that if Christ were every unfaithful (to God) in his physical body that the resurrection would have not taken place.
In Romans 3:25, it says this was to demonstrate His righteousness. This speaks of God's righteousness in publicly displaying Jesus as a propitiation in His blood through faith. God publicly displayed Jesus as a penalty for all the sins that had previously been committed & which had yet to be paid for. If Jesus' holy blood had not been shed towards the sin debt, God would have been unrighteous in forgiving this & being unrighteous He would have been unjust and could not have been a legitimate "justifier", vs 26. God had to show Himself both just and a righteous justifier, especially to the Jew for they knew God as a thrice holy God. Will not the God of all the earth do right(eousness)?

    James 2:21-23 NASB
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? [22] You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; [23] and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS," and he was called the friend of God.
So when Abraham went all the way up Mount Moriah and put his only son on the altar ...AND brought down his knife (fully expecting to kill his son) in obedience.... Abraham was JUSTIFIED.
So could Abraham gone half way up Moriah & said to himself: "What am I doing? I'm not justified by works. Solae Fidae. I'm justified by faith." And then walked back down the Mountain with Isaac in tow, a justified man???
    Of course not!
So why was this deed his justification (Jas 2:21)?
Because this was not about God raising up Isaac from the dead because of faith in God's love for either Abraham or Isaac. It was about the coming of Messiah which was Abraham's Seed, that mandated Isaac's existence for progeny. So once again, faith was tied to God's faithfulness to His Messiah. This Abraham knew as he had "seen His day"....being a prophet. (The Spirit of prophecy bearing testimony to Jesus' Messiahship).
    Revelation 19:10 NASB
"...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
    Now did Abraham's faith(fulness) require:
    1. self denial? Yes
    2. giving up all that he had? Yes
    Luke 14:26 NASB
"If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
    Luke 14:33 NASB
So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.
Imputed righteousness cannot be unrighteousness or result in unrighteousness for then it could read:
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness & unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in imputed righteousness, Rom. 1:18.
Imputed righteousness would then just be "a form of godliness" empty of the power into the substance of righteousness.
So faith in OT & NT results in obedient faithfulness or sincere devotion. If it doesn't it is hypocrisy & disobedience.
    It's not rocket science.
