I wasn't familiar with the concept of the movie. As a male 27-year-old, I am not suitable for a romantic comedy, I thought. But damn, the teaser on Netflix and the first episode and I was immediately sold. The episode with Dexter who still under the influence went to his sick mother, the episode with Dexter and Emma in the restaurant... Two episodes before the end I started thinking about where it would go, and I thought it was for the story would be best if she died. But unfamiliar with the concept, the moment came completely out of the blue. I cried once at The Boy with the Striped Pajamas when I was fifteen, and I cry again now. Although that may also have something to do with age, because I often struggle with it these days. A truly fantastic series.

The way Dex always looks at Emma with such love and longing and how it was beautifully captured thru his eyes is what captivates me the most 😭
i think this is my favourite tv series it was just incredible

This was such a good show I binged in one night. Netflix needed one of these, it’s been a while. Honestly I had a feeling that one of them would die, and I really thought it was going to be dexter some reason, but seeing him grow and go through so much made me appreciate his character even more. One of those beautiful yet tragic love stories 🥹💖. Emma was the love of his life

Emma fell in love with Dexter too early, Dexter fell in love with Emma too late...
He was in love with her but wasn’t ready for commitment, he did tell her early that he fancied her
This story devastated me. I feel very sorry for both of them. But they both made mistakes. There were things they didn't talk about. The "right time right person" thing is very important...

In the book, he wrote a drunk letter to her kinda confessing his feelings and it was the best part of the book so he did like her in the start
I watched this without a background knowledge about the ending, I didn't even know it was already adopted into a movie before so when i watched ep 13 i was so shocked and kept praying that "no she will not die, they already have a happy life now, everything is perfect. THEY DESERVE TO BE HAPPY" but after watching ep 14, that's it. I lost it, i cried for the whole night while cursing the one who made emma die. Why do you need to hurt me like this 😭
Watching, "One Day" is the best thing that's ever happened to me. Dex & Em are so inspiring...their love, friendship and chemistry. Hats off to them ❤️

If you haven't already. Watch 'love Rosie' it's a film but the series reminded me of it and it does have a happy ending.
try “Dash & Lily” and “Spinning Out”, and on a darker tone try “Normal People”

i can't stop thinking of this show.. i think im gonna re-watch it.. i wish they had a happy ending.. like they had a baby, they just had a happy life... i hated how he loss her....

I'm a wreck, just seeing their videos on my recommended is too much for me 😭😅 Their chemistry was so stunning and genuine perfection 😍 I just keep rewatching ep 10 and 12 as well as their happy time when they get together 😢 I haven't seen that sort of chemistry in a while! Hats off to the amazing director and writers, they did such an amazing job!!

I hated the ending 😔, I wanted to see a marraige scene between the two and also Jasmine seeing her half sibling for the first time 😢
Irrelevant but it would be interesting to Jazz (Jasmine) wanting to take a career path in media for Jazz 🎶 similar as her dad, that would’ve been interesting 😅 & her small sibling looking up to her 🥺
