Again, in awe of this beautiful painting, wow! I especially appreciate your sharing that when you look at what you painted and see something wrong or not quite right, STOP; and don’t continue until you know exactly what to do to fix it; (and if you don’t know what that is, leave it) since that leads to overworking….which is what I do so much of. This is something I will remember and use, hopefully forever! Thank you so much!!
What you recommend is so helpful in regards to detaching yourself from what the subject you are painting actually is...sheer fabric, water, trees, etc...and stay in the fundamentals. All the matters is that we try to mix the correct color, in the correct value and place it on the canvas in the correct place, in the correct shape. Ha! Simple...😄🤪 And thank you for answering my question about looseness and maintaining anatomical structure. I need to pause and assess more often. You are such a wonderful teacher!
