Mean, my first scooter…. I wanted a vespa back in the days, but my dad didn’t wanted me to drive around with an old deathtrap, and bought thus for me. I was quite indifferent to it back then, because it was basically untuneable, compared to classic vespas. But when i saw it again in the shed of the friend i sold it to, 25 years ago… man, the memories. Made it to france with it, with some friends…crazy time back then 😁😊
These are awesome little scooters. My father bought me a red one brand new back in 1990. I had many years of fun with it throughout the 90s. It was then put in the back of the garage in around 2002. In 2013 I stripped it down and rebuilt it and put it back on the road in 2014. During 2018 I was out riding when all of a sudden it slowed right down and the engine went pop. I pushed it home and put it back in the shed. During COVID I decided to strip the engine and noticed the piston rings had broken.i ordered a new piston and rings kit which I hope to fit this year. I could have sold this little scooter many times over but it's been part of me for 34 years.
Hi there thanks for watching and the great comment. They are awesome indeed. This wasn't running right in video, since found 2 stripped carb bolts, after repair she now easily does 33mph with awesome acceleration. Love using it! Glad you still have yours! Well done.
the Honda Vision is an awesome scooter. I got 2 myself, the "bigger" 2 seater Met-in and the smaller 1 seater model. I love how simple and fun they are, you can't beat a 90's Honda
@@adamautomotiveSadly not hahah. I was referring to the size of the scooter itself. The Vision Met-in (as showcased in your video) is considered the bigger model. And there also is the Vision ne50, which is the smaller 1 seater model. (Which is also my daily form of transportation)
@ducttapetuning ah ok i sew thanks for the info much appreciated. This is running like dream now after noticing two stripped carb bolts allowing excess air in. Since the repair it's a different bike. I take my daughter on it now and her head literally gets thrown back from standstill. I have to tell her to brace before pulling away at lights it pulls that hard now. Still yet to have a car out accelerate us from the lights till 30 mph, 50 kph. Awesome bike. You can't beat 90s hondas for sure.
@@adamautomotive haha yeah the acceleration on these scoots is amazing. I have experienced a few stripped carb bolts myself as well, seems to happen with every Vision.
Hello. What is the best two stroke oil? I have one like yours, but mine is always overheating and I have already changed a piston once. And do you have any filter or just an empty airbox? mine has a sponge.

That’s a lovely little scooter! There’s one for sale near me that I’m very tempted to buy to tinker with!

Hi any quality oil will do. Castrol do a great 2 stroke oil.
Yes it has a filter in the air box.
