@@Thrusthamster Well, you're only half correct. Free solo happens all the time with wall climbing and rock climbing alike.
As for the upside down V, you are correct, most climbers wouldn't do that, not because they lack the ability, but because it's unnecessary.
Doing a dynamic move already consumes large amounts of energy when climbing, so it's pointless to waste energy on unnecessary moves like that since the goal is to finish the climb, not waste energy.
