  • What if you could rent out digital real estate just as you would traditional real estate, but without all the headaches that come with maintaining a property?
That’s exactly what Luke Van Der Veer is doing with his digital “Rank and Rent” business.
What Luke does is he builds a local service business website, then “rents” it out to a local, less digital-savvy business that is more than happy for the extra leads.
Luke has been doing this for several years but said it took about 6 months to replace his day job income, and 12 months to hit 6-figures.
Today he runs a portfolio of over 100 different websites using this “rank and rent” model, earning predictable recurring revenue taking up just a few hours pre week.
    TUNE IN TO LEARN:
**how Luke picks a niche and evaluates the competition
    **how to price your service
**how to find qualified “tenants” for your digital properties

As a business owner that would buy these leads, I can understand why someone would turn down a lead. I have my limitations and actually don't do some work that people are looking for. I turn leads down more than I like, but I have to do it. More times than not, it's due to liability reasons.

Thanks for the insight. And you’re right, many small businesses have more work than they can handle already!

In some situations, we use our phone system to have customers select what service they need and reroute them to different businesses automatically. On our side, this allows us to rent the same website to multiple businesses (assuming there is no overlap in their service offerings).

Really nice insight and great advice. Now I really want to start doing my research for niches in my home country and put in the effort creating income with this.

For sure! There may be some challenges surrounding the Google Business Profile address verification, but otherwise super interesting.

It is way harder then it’s made out to be. Simple but not easy.

Hey Luke, How do you handle Google Guaranteed leads, since they take up about 60% of leads?

What's the reason that you've only lost 1 customer? Why do these clients stay with you for so long when supposedly with smma the average is only 4 months?

My guess is a more trackable ROI?

There is a company called Networx that does the exact same thing, have you heard of it? I'm worried this competition is going to make it much harder for me, what do you think?

    • @NickLoper
      @NickLoper  Рік тому +3

Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry, I’m not familiar with Networx. My hunch is with the number of niches multiplied by the number of cities/towns, there would still be some untapped opportunity.
