Really clean work Weems. I work in a fab shop building Wind Tunnels and We don't have any room for sloppy work. I appreciate solid clean fab work. When Your all done with this no one would know You were there & that's how it should be. ✌️😁
Very interesting video 🤔 (as normal 😁).just a couple of questions. 1) how did you originally get into the Bike building business? 2) could you explain each and every tattoo, and their meaning ? 3) is bike building your day job aswell as your hobby ? (maybe stupid questions.....but I'm english 😁😂) thanks in advance. Peace out ✌
1. I was raised around Motorcycles so it was a natural transition to working on them in place of paying someone to do it. 2. I could explain all my tattoos but it would take a long message! 3. I am retired military so I had the ability to take my hobby into a business!
@@weemsmotorco ,thanks for answering my questions Jared 👍. Hope you didn't think I was being rude . Take care of yourself and your family 👪. See you next week . Peace out ✌️ P.s .thanks for bringing the old triumphs back from the bike graveyard 👍
Had a triumph chopper . Was a 1952 speed twin frame I think . The post was moved to put a 1971 unit engine in it . Whoever did it did a good job. It was made well and had candy apple orange paint . Only problem was you had to be 5 feet tall to ride it . Had to lean on the sissy bar .
Maaaaaaaaaaaan........ I was so sad when you let go of Hollywood Run.......is there any chance you would re-create that motorcycle?........ I think everyone would love to see you make another one with some slight Weems Motor co. Changes to it ..... I printed out a photo of that bike a while ago and have on my wall at work.......man what beautiful bike that was!!!!.......
Great point and you are correct. The 1” stretch also drops the frame lower. That was the main issue in the first place. The frame sat 1.5” off the ground!
I'm a subscriber and I know you're in Tampa. I'm in Sanford right off of i-4. Can I schedule a time to drive over with my project to see if you could do 20 minutes worth of welding? Could I pay you $50 . I build motorized bicycles and I need a motor mount tube welded to the frame. It is a steel frame Spider-Man bicycle.
Excited to see how this budget chopper comes out. I'm all about the budget builds. Rather have a half dozen budget builds than a brand new machine
We 100% agree with you. Besides it is nice to get all these old parts used and on a complete bike!!!
Always enjoy watching fabrication! I'm surprised you didn't weld the top tubes of the tail piece there by removing the nuts.
I didn’t want to move too far away from factory!
Love this! Top class job my friend.
Thanks my English speaking friend!
You make that look so easy man, thanks for stopping by
You bet!
Interesting (to me that is) that there's a pivot point at the top side to adjust to your liking the angle of the rear section.
That only swivels when the bottom section is cut.
Great video, looking forward to seeing progress with this one 👍
You and me both!
You da man!!!! Nice work! Great tutorial brother
Glad it helped!

Oooo budget build...
Yes!!!!
Sweet!
Mannnnn Iam A Triumph guy . and this channel is so cool this guy rocks \,,/
We are stoked that you are enjoying it!
I like both on hardtails on the unit construction firms and it's so easy to swap back and forth from custom back to stock
You know it!
uhh there was alot of the forbidden cocoa powder in the frame :D nice job my good sir!
You know it! I purposefully left that in the video!
@@weemsmotorco yer. people think it cant rust when there is paint on it. thats not true :D it can always rust from the inside and out.
My favorite. Budget bikes😊
Us too!

WoW! Never heard of that mod before!
@@weemsmotorco yeah . The frame was all molded . Miss smelling my finger after tickling the carbs .
Got it in Daytona . Had a 1981 New Jersey plate .

It was a cool bike!
I used to chop frames its a skill the pipes are under tension and you can loose the straightness
Yup!
if memory serves me right silicon bronze is much much stronger than a weld as it isnt as brittle as a weld thats why Morgan car comp still us it
It does offer flexibility. Strength comes more from the geometry of the frame.

Hey friend!
✌️
Peace!
How are you stretching 1"or 4" without affecting top tubes? Any stretch in the lower tail pivots the axle líne upwards, creating drop.

@@weemsmotorco i7 guess 1 is acceptable over 4,we'll know when its on its feet again!
Being very curious and born in 1959, I need to know what the tat means to you.
As always I enjoyed your video,
It is 1956 and it is the year my dad was born.
@@weemsmotorco Ah yeah I read it wrong. Thanks for answering.
That is the year my parents fled Hungary and came to Denmark a year later.

You should reach out to Blockhead Garage they are near you in Sanford.
