watching this makes it easy to see why muse has been dubbed the best live band of recent times by many people (and picked up just about every award for it at least once), they embelish their songs for live performances, so you never know exactly what you will hear when you go see them live :D.
its amazing to see how far they've come in this video from small festivals to fairly large live concerts such as this one in a few years :) really inspirational, this is why we love muse
this song, plus the stage presance, plus just who the artist happens to be, muse one of the best bands ive seen in a whie, makes this video more amazing than anything else.
there is no such thing as a modern day hendrix, there will never be another hendrix, just like there will never be another matt bellamy...who i both love immensely
i love how these people have no idea what song is coming, and then of course their response is priceless, that would feel so tight if you were performing it
That was about the greatest fucking thing Ive ever seen in my entire life. I've gone for years thinking that part (happening around 4:00 ) was done on guitar. Seeing this was like...Musegasmic. Pure brilliance. Matt really, i mean REALLY outdid himself.
I know. I've seen videos. It sounds amazing. :( I get chills every time I listen to it. I hate not living in England. You guys get so many Muse shows...
@misterkurdt On the record he morphs the guitar signal and the vocals together, using some sort of vocoder type thing, so basically he sings the approximate note, and plays guitar with the same rhythm, hence near the end of the track you hear a little feedback on the guitar...
This clip is from the Hullabaloo concert, which was filmed over two nights, 28th and 29th October 2001. I believe that Muscle Museum, i.e. this particular clip was performed on the 29th.
For me this is one of the best songs of showbiz .Showbiz is an awesome album.
Why does this not have 7.8 billion views. The entire world needs this song
I think he's an absolute genious the way he uses the microphone at the end. His voice sounds just like a screeching guitar - it's musical art, imo.
I love that Matt included the Heitor Villa-Lobos Study No. 7 intro. It really works beautifully here.
And here i thought it was some random noodling from him, thank you for providing his inspiration
For me
this is one of their best live performances to date
I have heard and seen MM so many times, but each time he hits the chorus I get shivers down my spine. He has such a wonderful voice!!
probably the greatest live performance in the history of live performances. ever.

There really is no music like this. Muse deserves every ounce of fame and fortune that they have received.

This performance is one of their greatest ever. The way Matt just fucking unleashes everything at it. Amazing
It's a pity they don't play this in their concerts anymore! T.T One of my favorite songs from them!
