The Instructor has been more nervous like I was, obviously the averge customer do the laps a bit slower ;-). And I know now that my personal limit is above the one of the car (watch the countersteering at 26:39). This have been a great experience, thanks to my family for this great present!

So cool! I´ve done the Abu Dhabi one, but although in Abu Dhabi it was way cheaper, this one looks like you have a little bit more freedom to race. Is that correct, can you overtake the others more "freely", if you´re faster?
As told in the drivers briefing right before it started: "You can even race, just keep in mind that every drivers pays his own damage. Even if you're not guilty for the crash..." My life was totally different these days and I thought to myself: ´Fuck the deposit, go racing´. So I did and I was able to race the F4 on the edge. And that was the conclusion of it all that I was able to control this car at its limit. :)

Coole Sache, allerdings finde ich es extrem schade, dass man nur diese abgehakte Version der tollen Strecke ist. Daher leider nix für mich :/

If you crash, you have to pay the full price for fixing the car or they have some kind of insurance?
Was it your first time with a real formula car? I saw in another comment you mentioning you are a simracer, did you feel natural to translate the sim experience to the real one?
I race a lot in iRacing mostly with the iR-04 car and was wondering about it.
The agreement says that they will handle the part which is above 2000dollars,it means even you crash the car into pieces you will only give them 2000dollars

Hi, the video has been part of the package I got, same for the speed and g's. You'll get everything: shoes, Overall, shoes, helmet.... i think it is mandatory to use their stuff. Thanks for being impressed by this :-)).
Weißt du, ob bei einem kleinen Ausrutscher ins Kiesbett gleich eine Selbstbeteiligung o.ä. fällig wird? Und hast du dafür eine Motorsportversicherung abgeschlossen?
Servus, na ja alles was kaputt wird muss vom Selbstbehalt bezahlt werden. Die Session ist auf jeden Fall für dich dann vorbei. Ich bin damals mit der Einstellung "Scheiß´ auf den Selbstbehalt" in die 20 Runden gegangen ;)
Was machen die anderen da auf der Strecke? Für das hätte ein Smart gereicht.
Ich finde das ja ganz nett aber ich finde für das Geld sollte man fahren können ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste. Wenn man Angst haben muss den Kübel ins Kies zu fahren und somit der Spaß vorbei ist halte ich es für überteuert. Zudem kommen mir die Teile auch ziemlich langsam vor.
Um diese Jahreszeit ist der Asphlat ziemlich kalt und man hat fast keinen Grip.
Am Video sieht es langsam aus, da hast du recht, wenn du aber selbst drinnen sitzt kommt dir das extrem schnell vor, da dich die beschleunigung komplett in den Sitzt drückt, auch ein den schnellen Kurven drückt dich der kopf in die Seite wegen der G-Kräfte.
Wenn was kaputt geht hast du 2.000€ Selbstbehalt, den Rest übernimmt Redbull.
Man hat halt einfach respekt davor.
Alles in allem muss man das mal selbst erlebt haben, macht echt Laune.

it's normal for the f4 cars to do the Red Bull Ring Short instead of the GP layout. I do simracing a lot and always raced on the 'short' layout of the rbr with f4 cars.
I do not know the exact reason. Maybe they want you to learn the short track better in 20 laps than the full one with only 10 laps? Who knows...
@@mikenew11 Sorry I have to disagree. The real F4 race at RBR used the full track. And I am a simracer as well ;), guess that was the difference to the other guys that raced with me.
darf man eigendlich dort seinen eigenen helm (fia zugelassen) mitnehmen oder MUSS man einen helm dort ausleihen?

Weil ich leider nichts gefunden habe.... Wie alt muss man mindestens dafür sein? Ich bin mir sicher, dass ich mit 14 zu jung bin, würde aber gerne wissen ab wann ich das machen könnte 😁

Hi, würde ich auf jeden Fall wieder machen. Habe mir das zum 50. Geburtstag von der Verwandtschaft schenken lassen. Bin ja seit fast 30 Jahren Simracer, das hat genau gepasst. Warum nicht die ganze Strecke? Tja, denke, da geht´s um Sicherheitsaspekte. Viel Spass!
Habe mir das gleiche angebot für nächste Woche bestellt. Meine Vorfreude steigt mit diesen Video um einiges. :)

Hallo! Welche Zeit bist denn gefahren? Im nachhinein weiß ich, dass ich sicher 1 Sekunde noch liegen gelassen habe. Ich würde sonst was zahlen, wenn ich den Funk vom Instruktor auf dem Video hätte. Dem war ich vor allem in T1 viel zu schnell ;)

Sonst war leider recht oft Gelb da meine Mitfahrer einige ausrutscher hatten.
ist die Kamera im Auto integriert oder muss man diese sich selbst organisieren ?

Wie anstrengend ist es so en Formel 4 zu fahren? So verglichen bspw. Mit GoKarts?
Könnte mir vorstellen, dass lenken und G Kräfte viel sind wenn man es nicht gewohnt ist.

Direkt mal ne Buchung über 30 Runden angefragt, nachdem ich mir hier nen Vorgeschmack holen durfte. Weißt du zufällig, ob das auch im Winter stattfindet ? :O Keine Lust solang zu warten x)
Also im Winter geht das nicht. Die konnten mir auch erst im Frühjahr die Termine nennen.

Hi, first you have to "check in" at the information center. The correct time of day depends at your time slot given. Afterwards you'll get a briefing of how to drive NOT. This will be done with all drivers that will race with you at one time.Q&A, simple. Well, then you will get your suit, shoes, gloves, helmet and overall at the pitbox area and the it's time to rumble ;-).

Buster Wolfeman yeah piloting at 180+ kmh car is pretty impressive. I’m hoping for when I turn 18 to be able to race at least in a junior series of the scca. But will be expensive

Glaub 18 muss man sein, es braucht auch einen gültigen Führerschein.
Geil, ist das das Video, welches man vom Veranstalter kriegt? Bei den gesehenen Runden lässt sich noch einiges optimieren ;-), Bremspunkte generell zu früh (deutlich), rausbeschleunigen vor Würth progressiver und ganz an den rechten Rand.
Ja, das ist das Video vom Veranstalter (onboard ohne Musik). Allerdings nur beim Gold Package, 20 Runden. Ich weiss, dass da noch ca. 1,5 sekunden zu holen sind. Allerdings ist der Spass zu Ende, wenn man ins Kiesbett rodelt.. War auch so mit Abstand der schnellste ;) hab den Instruktor am Funk ganz schön nervös gemacht in T1 :D
What are the overtaking rules..!?
You can race, you can fight. Even close. But it you damage the car your deposit of € 2000,-- is gone. And it's race track rules: Everyone pays his own damage. So if someone else crash into you and even you're unblameable for this your deposit is gone as well.

This are turbo charged engines, 4 zylinders Abarth. When I drove above 200 km/h it felt like 120 km/h in my Toyota Avensis because a race car is that stiff so you do not get that many movements like in a normal car. Seriously, the feel of speed at the straight was a bit disappointing, I would have gotten no problems to go a lot faster. BUT when you will enter the turns Rindt and Lauda (the last two right-handed turns at the end of the lap) braking from 200 kmh you know that the cars are fast enough for rookies. In one lap I felt the slight oversteering in thr first of these 2 turns and at another lap I was able to correct a sliding from be back of the car. So yes, the cars are fast enough ;-)
