  • The Anti-Vibration Dimple Boring Bars from Mitsubishi Materials feature a unique lightweight head design that channels cutting forces principle and back in a controlled direction through the head and into the boring bars main shank.
    The dimple bars lightweight head and balance of cutting forces, increases deflection resistance and damping characteristics of the dimple bar thus reducing vibrations and improving surface finishes when compared to conventional products produced from similar materials.
    Dimple Bars are available in screw on insert designs for small bores and negative style insert with our double top clamp design for larger bores.
    Dimples bars are machined from either Steel or Heavy Metal and coolant thru capabilities are standard for most of the offering.

    Oh... This dimple boring bar is for CNC machines only??? Can I it use on my manual lathe???

    @mitsubishicarbide I did enjoy it. I may even buy one and try it. How about making a video with this boring bar in action with 6-8' deep hole in 6061 aluminum thats 1' and bore it out to 1.04" with no or very little chatter. with a external thickness of 1.25' Then I will be sold!!! Thanks
