Can’t believe you missed the Northern Lights 😳 looked a nice canal and stop over as you say you can pay more for a campsite than you paid for your evening meal! Lovely weather. Can’t whack a couple of weeks off work can you. Nice stop over for a tenner. All the best, David & Rachel 🍻👍
I agree Wizards, Glencaple is a very useful stop, we had a peaceful night there. Both our dogs enjoyed a good walk out the village alongside the river.
Lovely Jubbly. Been following on FB 👍👍. We missed the Northern Lights too and we were in Scotland and we waited up for them 😃🤦🏻♂️ Weather was amazing! Couple of great park ups especially Glencaple. Never thought of an envelope for the honesty box! We e just done too much driving and not enough seeing. Lesson learned Enjoy Portpatrick guys. Safe travels
Hi Rick and heather a great video as usual qnd great to see Dumfries again visited a few years ago such a great city and lots of things to see and the history too love all of that coast which is a less discovered part of Scotland if you get chance kirkudbright is lovely and also caerlaverlock castle and sweetheart abbey as well looks like you have found some great places to stop and also don’t blame you taking it easier driving around gets more time for you both to get a few drams in! All the best Daniel
Dumfries my hometown before as a 4 year old I became a missionary in Stoke on Trent and now Bradford Suspension bridge, the sister of We’re doomed (John Laurie - dads army) live near it. Used to meet a friends grandad when he came across the bridge. Hope you had a great time
Had a ham sandwich in that pub about 3 years ago made with square ham, we haven't been back. Think we will be off to Scotland in the next week or so and I thought we would probably meander up the coast from Carlisle. Cheers K.
Great find by Heather. I believe the cafe does a cracking breakfast too. Looking forward to the rest of your trip.
Part 2 today!

We really enjoyed looking at some of the less common places on this trip, your suggestions will be noted for the next time!

We did, it was a fantastic couple of weeks and we really enjoyed it. Scotland is a beautiful country 🏴
We have stayed at the pub too. Nothing fancy but loved it.👍
It did the job 👍

It served a purpose but yeah a bit spit and sawdust 😊
Just found your channel thank you for sharing all your adventures. We are off to Scotland next week.
Enjoy! 🏴 we love it there, there’s loads in playlists from previous years too, or join us on Sundays for the next few weeks 😊

Lovely vlog, and beautiful views were you stayed xx❤️❤️❤️
We’ve had some great ones! More to come over the next few weeks 😊
A bit late now but port William is a very good campsite
Next time then!
We missed the northern lights too - you look nice and relaxed despite all the driving.
Definitely relaxed, the new van is way easier to drive 👍
Looks lovely and welcome home , that was quick -)
Unfortunately work spoils everything 🤣
@@RickandHeather Ime happily retired , just need a posh new van now -)
Our time will come 😊
Always always need our waterproofs 🤦🏻♂ we liked Dumfries but it seems to get slated
We liked it but yeah that’s why we did a lot of “odd” choices this time
My wife's country of birth. Try and find a butchers, buy a proper Scotch Pie, warmer the better when in Scotland.
Cheers will do!
