Playing Ryan's own 1937 Martin D-18 side by side with our D-18 Tribute Series prototype. See • Bagnasco & Casati "Tri... for more details on the Tribute project.
Thanks for watching!
Sounds awesome! Great job!
The copy sounds way better than the real thing. Louder, clearer and fuller
thanks!
Tonally, to me, they're very similar. My impression was that the vintage has more relaxed sound which gives it more warmth while the replica sounds somewhat stiffer but in turn that gives it more attack.
Gentlemen, I applaud you on this project. Both are wonderful sounding Guitars, but I don’t think you have to wait 87 years for this prototype to do its thing. You should be very proud of your work guys, it sounds spectacular!
Shawn thanks very much for chiming in and for the nice words. They're very appreciated. Cheers!
The sound just jumps out of that prototype!
👏👏👏
:)
Great sounding D-18!
Thanks Yiannis
What a stellar guitar. Congratulations! Great playing too!
thanks!
Very nice
Thanks
Secondo me avete fatto una grande cosa, complimenti!
Wow ! they are very close ;)
wonderful- Very close and a bit different. I could do without the relicing but that’s just my preference. I own and play a 58-D28 that’s earned it’s relicing the old fashioned way. 🙃
Excellent presentation and demo. 🎧
Love it. 🇮🇹 👏🏼
the relicing was more about testing stuff than actually meaning to offer a reliced version. In fact, for our own taste all we offer is finish checking and very light playwear. Or nothing. Thanks for the kind words
@@BagnascoCasatiGuitars yes- finish checking is an art in itself too.
There is s definite difference in tone, sound output with the two. Did they have the same strings, gauge, age? The Martin has a deeper, less bright dryer tone while the B &C has a brighter, thinner, more contemporary sounding D18 tone.
87 years is the difference, the Martin being 87 years older than the B&C
Finally!
