TESTIMONIALS
‘Started hitting the moves laid out in these courses the very next class...extremely uplifting to have such a quick improvement in my game’ - Houston, TX
‘I’m the only white belt in the academy doing these moves…I’m suddenly competing at a blue belt and above level…thanks Coach Tom’ - LA, California
‘Some of the best strategies you are going to see for control and submission’ - London, UK
‘The detailed way Prof Tom breaks down his moves into the absolute essentials is just next level for me. This is absolute gold‘ - Sydney, Australia
‘Most of the guys at my Academy, have about 60lbs on me, but since purchasing your ‘Kimura Attack system’ and ’14 days’ everything has changed. I feel much more confident, roll better and the guys on the mat have commented on the same. Thanks, Coach Tom’ - Dallas, TX
‘I know you have your names for your courses, but I’ve renamed them the ‘Zero to hero’ courses, I went from getting constantly owned, to now being completely dominant on the mat in no time at all’ - San Diego, California
‘I use the course material heaps, and just recently put it into action at a local comp, walked away with double gold. No one was more surprised than me! - Miami, Florida
‘As a new white belt, these classes have helped me so much, Prof Tom’s technique, the details, and his attitude. I love how Prof. Tom shows the ‘mistakes people make’ and then shows the correct way of doing things. The only one I have ever seen do this’ - New York, New York
Great videos, great instruction. I just watch them for hours…Melbourne, Australia
‘The instructional saved me big time at a recent comp, my opponent was def more experienced, but that was ok, coz I had Prof Tom’s video in my brain. Nailed it and scored gold’ - Colorado, Denver
‘All of it. Everything you show in your awesome videos are now my ‘go to techniques’. Thanks for your vids Prof, Tom’ - Houston, TX
‘You really have to watch every second of the video because Prof, Tom drops these little nuggets of gold throughout the course. And they make ALL the difference. The only one doing this. Keep them coming Professor’ - NY, New York
‘If I could only be taught from one person, Prof Tom would be it. I can’t wait to train in person one day’ - Dallas, TX
‘Went to a recent competition with these videos fresh in my mind. I knew I had an edge and the confidence this gave me was unreal. Got the gold. All submission wins! - LA, California
I had my first no gi grappling tournament on the weekend. In preparation i cut 25lbs to get down to light heavyweight division. I had let myself get out of shape so i set a personal goal. Getting on the scale at 195lbs that day. 💪💪💪 I got crushed in a round robin format by every opponent in the form of submission. That day i felt bummed out and in the dumps. But after watching the footage i was proud of my performance. These guys were skyscrapers and i went after them. I will plug the holes in my game and hone my submissions. 175lb division here i come. 🔥🤼♂️ thanks Coach Tom!
So awesome Kevin! Getting out there win or lose is what matters. All of my wins were built on the losses that preceded them. Happy rolling (-: Tom Davey
My biggest problem in competition in gerneral is when i am losing to people that i think are worse than me....i absolutly dont mind losing if i can aknowledge that my opponent was stronger....what really makes me titlt is when losing to a cheap trick or by my own avoidable mistake! what should i do about that?
Great question. Well BJJ is all about technique so if there are technical errors or tricks causing a win then they are easy to fix. This is actually a good problem per se. If you failed to try or fight hard, this can be a harder problem to fix. Happy rolling (-: Coach Tom Davey
Thank you. I literally got foot locked on the same foot 4 times my last tourney. I took my loses like a man, everyone who beat my I raised their arm and congratulated them. Since it was a grappling industries tourney it was round robin and I took matches and continued when I couldn’t stand. Even tho I took my loses at this tourney “on the chin” I’m actually having nightmares and dreams of getting foot locked in my sleep. I’m still gonna train and I seriously wanna be a “leg lock guy” now. Your comment about BJJ being up and down is making me feel better. Thank you for your wise words ossss🙏🏻
My pleasure Alex and congrats on your excellent attitude! I have often turned my defeats into new strengths and it sounds like footlocks were obviously not your strength before and by learning them you can not only inoculate yourself against other footlocks as you will 'know the game' but also finish those whose leglocks are not up to your standard. HAve fun (-: Coach Tom Davey
I like your perspective on losing. Great advice......AGAIN! I always feel better after having watched your tips for both physical and mental aspects of BJJ.
Thanks & keep up the good work! We're all counting on you.😆👊
Thanks for the great positive comment Jamie! I am glad I could help your journey. Happy rolling (-: Coach Tom
I'm lucky/unlucky enough to be a part of your gym with some absolute Kesa Gatame MONSTERS! Having 100kg+ guys with awesome pressure from this position has made my defence and escapes better every rolling session. That said it is my weakest position and I still tap 50% of the time when caught here
Great comment Pete! Our gym definitely teaches the importance of retaining guard and keeping your elbow to the floor! Happy rolling (-: Coach Tom
That is some of the best advice I've heard on this subject. Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it Jason. Take care and happy rolling (-: Coach Tom
