Whether you're a Mets or Phillies fan, you have to admit that this was the game of the year without a doubt. What a great game by both teams.
And the best thing is that there is still a series left to see.

I mean, it was a really exciting game but I'm not sure if you can call it a "great" game by both teams, particularly both bullpens.
@@Fordham1969Both bullpens failed, but the offense of both teams was very good, unfortunately the main relievers of both teams failed. Mendoza today suffered the same thing that Thompson suffered yesterday.

Last year, there were two: Game 2 NLDS Phillies vs Braves & Game 5 ALCS Astros vs Rangers.

Good announcing team. Aj pski and wainwright are good at expressing pitcher catcher stuff, and I like how they aren't afraid to disagree with each other, you can almost see the thought process of why a pitcher shakes off a catcher in a game when they do, very cool.
Castellanos ends the top of the 9th, then ends the game. Rockstar.
And got booed in the… third (IIRC) for whiffing two pitches. What a game!

@@Inkyyyyyy. what did he do in game 1? get 0 outs & blow the lead after getting 2 strikes on most of the batters he faced. what did he do tonight? got lindor to 2 strikes, gave up a hit. got vientos to 2 strikes, gave up a tie breaking home run. great during the regular season, sure, but if he keeps collapsing in high leverage spots during the playoffs he's not going to stick around very long.

That was the worse pitch selection to Castellanos. He can't reach the slider away who cares, so let's throw him pitch right over the plate. Alvarez set up over the plate on all pitches. Throw him slider down and away not a slider over the plate. Alvarez pitch selection was poor.
