Thank God! I was alive to experience this amazing music era!!!! Hip-hop in the 90's was the 2nd greatest music era in human history! (The 60's and 70's music was #1) I remember taping off the radio almost every day. And the mid to late 90's with amazing underground hip-hop, was the best!!!! I miss the 90's!

I respect the list overall. However, I would probably replace The Chronic with Snoop’s first album, Doggystyle. I’ve rarely encountered an album played from beginning to end, from barbecues to house parties, by a more diverse group of people. The album is a whole mood and contains banger after banger.

I'm an old rural white dude who didn't get hardcore into old school/new school (golden age, whatever you call it) until adulthood, but my 90's list (in no particular order) is Apocalypse 91, Sex Packets, Low End Theory, Ill Communication, Enter The Wu-Tang, De La Soul Is Dead, AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, A Future Without A Past, Business As Usual, and Reachin'. Not gonna argue with this vid though.

All 3 went against the grain from the usual west coast sound, but had a great sound nonetheless. 93 til infinity was an underrated jam with a dope beat and classic sample.Pharcyde had Dilla on their 2nd release. Solid release. Took Hiero forEVER to release; they were individually releasing for most of the 90s and good for a jam or 2 but not a solid release track for track. 1st release came out in 1998 and was good but not as good as anticipated. You like what you like, and they are dope, but they are are definitely not goated.
Doggystyle belongs on this list. It was at least better than all of your Honorable Mentions! Why does everyone overlook or disregard “No Way Out”? This album changed the trajectory of Hip Hop with masterpieces albeit in a commercial manner.
