      @@waynefilkins8394 I forget off the top of my head. Think when I got it it was around 17K. I don’t have it anymore. The issues piled up and were so expensive to fix. It’s great when it’s firing on all cylinders, but it’s a pain to fix. Replaced intake manifold twice. O2 sensors twice. The biggest issue is the engine is so big, any maintenance almost always requires dropping the engine.

      @@ryanbuckley20 hmm that must be why the one I found is only 9k lol. Price just keeps dropping. I'm tempted to buy it just for the winter but with my luck everything would break all at once lol

    I have a 2011 Audi S6 and it sounds amazing and drives awesome it's such a solid built car. Best part is you can drive it in the winter when all those rear-wheel-drive muscle cars are stuck in the snow.

    This is such a rare Audi. I've only seen and rode in one. I'm more likely to see an R8 over this car. When I first saw photos of this car, I wanted one so badly, and I still want one today.

      You can pick up earlier c6 s6's for a decent price. They're a little hard to work on since the v10 takes up so much space. But truly is a quality car. Thanks for watching!

    Would you prefer the S6 over the S8? I'm looking to get one with the V10. The S6 seems like it would be the better option. Smaller with less possible maintenance issues. What do you think?

    • @RevolutionCorsa
      @RevolutionCorsa  7 років тому +3

      Skrawny2Brawny I would think the s6 would have the slight advantage over the s8, in terms of reliability (less things to go wrong). The s6 has more than enough space too, and feels somewhat nimble for its size.

    I think 435 HP is more then enough for a daily drive and for a fast fun ride
    I've got a m5v10 and a 2k13 s8
    Had this s6 before I got my m5 ( bought it for a good price from a friend) but I prefer the s6. I love the m5 but my heart beats for audi.
    The m5 is just expensive af and I think about so sell it and buy a rs6 from that money.
    The rs6 is just the ultimate audi

    The brand new S6 still makes the same power this did in 2006. That should be the way you look at it, also keeping in mind this is an S6 not an RS6, this isn't supposed to be the crazy performance version.

    This car isn't in competition with M5 E60 or E63 W211. The M5 and E63 are more powerful!
    It is correct to compare S6 C6 with Mercedes E500/E550 W211/212 and BMW 550i E60.

    • @RevolutionCorsa
      @RevolutionCorsa  3 роки тому +1

      Yes you're right, it is more of an equivalent rival of the cars you mentioned. However, in North America we never got the c6 RS6. So, this was the highest offering from Audi, meanwhile BMW and Benz, had the e60 m5 and w211 e63 in North America.

    this car 2010 or a 2011 s4??

    • @RevolutionCorsa
      @RevolutionCorsa  6 років тому

      Rubens Julsaint depends, do you need the extra space in the s6? Will be a more comfortable long distance cruiser. But to live with everyday s4 all day. Cheaper on gas, maintenance etc. Also it has the DSG transmission which is night and day difference to the one on the s6. The s4 can also push 500 hp on a stage 2 kit, which can be done for relatively cheap. It’ll be plenty fast, and a great all around daily. The s6 is better at being a little more unique, being you don’t see too many of them, and the fact that it has the v10.

      yeah, was referring to the era, and that there probably won't be another v10 sedan.

    • @whyomgwhywtf
      @whyomgwhywtf 6 років тому

      To be fair i doesn't make sense to put a V10 in a sedan anyway. At the time they had just merged with Lamborghini so i imagine it was kind of a " hey lets work together" moment.
      Though as you said in the video, V8 with turbo is the future for the sedans. Cheaper to build, they fit in all of the models and im sure there is some law out there (probably EU) that says something about mandatory fuel economy.

      German cars are best keeping it stock,simply because of the reliability.
      An engine remap on a cayenne turbo destroyed the engine meaning.20k for a new engine.

    Jeremy Clarkson and Chris Harris disliked this car very much. Clarkson went to say that "it's the most disappointing car ever" and Chris said that the ride was "pretty poor and the engine had no torque". In fairness, I can see their point; the S6 and S8 should have had at least 520 hp. 435 and 450 hp were no longer impressive even by 2006 standards.

    • @BlagoP
      @BlagoP 6 років тому +2

      Yes, but you have to look at the price. The S6 came fully loaded and was much cheaper than the E55/E63 and M5. In Canada a fully loaded S6 was $101K in 2007 whereas a base E63 was 116K, and by the time you spec it with the options that the Audi has, it comes out to $130K+. Then you add taxes on top of that and we're talking about a difference of almost $50K CAD between an S6 and an E63, and same thing between the S6 and the M5. Plus you're getting an AWD car that you can drive all year round and the S6 is roomier than the W211 and E60 M5. The '08-'10 RS6 is the car that competed with the E63/M5, making 570HP, but was never sold in North America.
