It is not uncommon for me to get asked how to pack on mass fast, especially when the person asking is a skinny hardgainer who has a hard time putting on weight. That said, when you combine that request with the additional desire to do this the “fastest way possible”. That complicates an already complicating situation and usually makes those asking look for unrealistic solutions. In this video, I’m going to share with you a situation that played out just the other day and underscore just how misleading the supposed “solution” can be.
First a little background on the story. A young high school student from the UK wrote to us and wanted to know “how to pack on mass the fastest way possible”. He claimed that he was underweight and really struggled to add muscle mass. He wanted to add significant size to his undersized body in time for his next sports season. This led him to looking into the prospect of taking a mass gainer shake. He wanted to know what my opinion was on the matter and what I would recommend he take.
Now, since my motivation is always to attempt to help first rather than sell, I did not try and push my supplements or any other on him. Instead, I told him to watch the video I did on mass gainers and weight gainer powders. I provided him with the link to the video and told him that there was valuable information in there to help him reach a decision about focusing instead on real quality food rather than relying on a bottle of supplements at this point.
He countered by saying that while he did watch the video, he felt that he came upon a mass gainer that was not like the rest of them. This one was good he said. I requested he send over the nutrition facts on the supplement so I could do a rare review of the product and see if I could validate his claims of this being superior.
What I uncovered was not at all surprising really, but it is no less disappointing. What looks to be a weight gainer with 51 grams of protein and 40 servings per bottle is no more than a sugar and fat loaded supplement that is providing a 6 day supply when used as directed to obtain your protein and calories you thought you were buying it for in the first place.
This is just one of the many games that supplement manufacturers will play with their customers that not only pisses me off, but led me to creating my own line in the first place. You simply just don’t know what is in your supplements these days, and when you add in the fact that many product creators are willing to try and play word games with their labels in an effort to potentially mislead the consumer into thinking the supplement is far better than it is…I have a problem with that.

Simply had to have been an ulterior motive to make this vid about this particular product. He could have blanked the name, or used a generic term to describe it. And I'm not buying the whole UK high school student story. He must have had an axe to grind over some sort of previous encounter or engagement with these guys. Their product isn't much worse or inferior to any other of the thousands of weight gainers/bulkers on the market. If I'm wrong I apologise.
Jesse Jameson whether this product is any worse than all of the other ones it still doesn’t change the fact that the company is trying to be deceptive by playing with the numbers. Additionally, whether the high school student story is true or not Jeff still makes a valid point, while staying humble and not trying to hard to promote himself.

If you wanna pack on mass fast, I highly recommend the McDonald's brand of supplements. In particular, their Big Mac supplements taste great, aren't ridiculously expensive per calorie, and I gained serious mass in my abdomen while taking them.

Mass gainer people think they will get swole, but they will get them swole bellies. It comes down to the basics, shakes are just another way to source your calories and macros. Eat real food and use shakes sparingly. They can help if you supplement them right.

It was a joke, by that meaning, some people don't understand what mass gainers are which is basically a lot of calories in a shake. So they will misuse them and consume way over the calories they should be, making them gain fat.

You've got to eat big to get big. An example: chicken breast - broccoli - sweet potato. Train hard/smart & get enough sleep. Also keep hydrated with water. There isn't a quick cheap fix!

I've been watching you since I was 14 super skinny.
1. you helped me put on the size for linebacker
2. you showed me how to keep my joints healthy and proper movements for exercises
3. your routines exercises diet how to put on size etc.. has consistently helped me put on size over the years I am now 21
I went from 145( made my newbie gains) then from there put on consistent muscle and weight and am now 200lbs and 11-14 percent body fat

There is no recommended amount of sugar other than zero. We don't need it. The maximum "advised" amounts are currently seen as rough borders between smaller and bigger health detriments. At least, this is how I understand it.

After watching multiple videos of yours the past months I am thoroughly impressed with your knowledge and commitment to being an honest informant with becoming a more physically fit person. I watched a few other peoples videos on how to do this or that and your videos so far have been the absolute best go to knowledge on youtube. Jeff, I can not thank you enough for the advice you've provided ... This is an eye opener... I personally have been chugging mass gainers and my gains are minimal... Definitely gonna start focusing more on eating actual high quality food. Keep doing an awesome job 👌

I can't lie I used to use gainers a lot as I weighed only 126 pounds/57kg/9stone. They really worked for me because I have a fast metabolism as well and I did a lot of cardio. Now that I'm the size I want, I don't even use supplements anymore, just eat right. Someone trying to gain weight will try anything tbh
