Make A Homemade Wood Splitter | Diy Log Splitter Build | DIY

Today I show you how to make a homemade wood splitter machine. I used 2hp single phase motor and a reduction gear box to make this diy log splitter. This homemade wood splitter is used to split the wood for firewood. This homemade log splitter machine can also be called as firewood splitter. This diy wood splitter is a electrical powered wood splitter. This homemade electrical firewood splitter splits the wood very fastly. No physical effort is required to split the log by using this electric log splitter. This homemade firewood splitter is very easy to make at home. The making of this homemade log splitter is simple but the power of this diy wood splitter is very powerful. The rotating blade attached to the high torque gear box is used to split the firewood. This homemade firewood splitter works good. I hope you guys will enjoy this log splitter build.

I'm trying to build something just like this. What gear reduction ration did you use?

I ended up getting a 40:1 gear reduction unit from an old lathe and using a 10:1 dual belt flywheel from my old Dayton air compressor pump/motor on the input.

Concept is great, however for splitting tiny logs, that would have been easier, cheaper, and quicker with a hatchet. It will cost you more in electricity than if you turned on a heater in your home. Find a better use for it. It is like using a drill press to make a cake.
