@@danielazziptrips I just returned from a two week tour of Liguria and have to agree with you about Genoa - it was our least favourite place. In fact, our tour guide warned us that we should not go out after dark in certain parts of the city!
I wish I had more to show but unfortunately haven't had the chance to revisit. I have 2 other videos on Liguria on the channel if you're interested. Check the description of the video for the links ;)
I really think that your impression of Genoa is totally wrong and really superficial! I do not like at all your comments about it and I strongly suggest everyone to visit this city for his history and art without mentioning the cuisine. The biggest medieval downtown in Europe, the city with hundreds of churches hidden in the “Carrugi ” are gems to be explored. And you can not compare a village like Portofino or those in Cinqueterre with a big city you have evidently not visited at all! I definitely dislike your comments!
Hi Luciano, I completely understand your point of view ☺️ it is impossible to please everyone, and some people will prefer a certain type of place as opposed to anothers. Genoa is still on the top places to visit in Liguria and so, I included on this list despite my experience not being the best while I was there. I like to be transparent and talk about how my trips go, whether it's good or bad. I apologize if I offended you in any way, but as I said, this is only my opinion, based on what I experienced. Who knows I will feel differently about it on a next trip! ☺️ Have a lovely week!
Daniela, couldnt agree with you MORE. As a tourist, I too found Genoa to be dirty compared to other big cities of Italy (Milan or Rome). Also it appears industrial, due to the port probably.
Apologies for that. Was honestly trying to give out as much information as possible for future travelers, but I guess maybe I should keep that extra information on blog posts as opposed to UA-cam videos for a next time. Thank you for your feedback

Thank you for your very frank description of some of the streets of Genoa.
Hi Stan, thank you for watching! Not everyone liked what I said about Genoa, but that was honestly my experience.

Thank you, appreciate it!! ☺️
where do you get a boat from?
What boat are you refering to exactly? To go to San Fruttuoso?
I was just wondering , we will be staying in La Spezia if there would be a boat to Portofino?

@@carolyniannello7409 I have honestly no idea. We did this part of Italy completely by train. Try googling it and see if it comes up with something
