  • When Esther Thuku left Kenya for Saudi Arabia, she wanted a better life for her four children. However, her husband was totally against it and told her she could also make it in Kenya but Esther was convinced that she would save more in Saudi and invest back home
However, that is unfortunately not the case. So what exactly happened?
Here is Lynn Ngugi with today's episode of Tales of Wanjiku

I learnt so much from the husband in this story. He is very wise and grounded spiritually. If only the world will adopt a patient mindset. I cannot help but wonder though, what about the cousins and friends from the wife's village in Kenya who were working in Saudi? Did they see or hear anything between the time she last spoke to her sister in law and her death? What about the Police in the area she died? Can her family contact homicide and file a report there?
Please do a follow up on this, esp the funeral so we can pay respects.

I could not stop my tears while watching this. I do recommend both the sister in law and the husband, exceptional humans. With all that said, I forever curse our government. This government is not only a joke but an embarrassment. How do you sell your own people to modern slavery!? Just how!? Directly or indirectly. They make life so hard for us that we have to go get mistreated outside our country for greener pastures. Nobody and I tell you, nobody want to go live somewhere away from there family. It’s so sad,it hurts me in every dimension to see us suffering like this and even being killed like animals.Yet even our deaths does not move our government for any assistance. Such a shame..

I sit here and read these stories and feel do sad the way women are treated when they leave their homes to seek a better life. These agencies know very well what goes on but they take the money that really belong to these hard working people and turn a blind eye. It is do sad that the skave trade is still in full operation and human beings are treated like animals in most cases. Where is the heart of the government of these nations. They take the monies in taxes and turn their backs. Because of greed they fail the people. Its a circle and it will come full 360 ° but karma will be there waiting. Bet your life that. These heartless crimminals who have most of these women and men working do hard all these hours cleaning their mess and paying little and nothing. Yiur time will come. The unseen eyes of Jahovah watches you. You think you will get away because nobody sees you . You treat these individuals like crap. Your time is coming. Time will tell. These innocent men and mostly women who travelled miles away from home to seek greener pastures. The grass may seem green from a mile away but the closer you get you realised its not so green after all. It's funny when we are looking from a different angle. We need to listen to our husbands too. They are not always right but we are not as well. The husband said some wise things but some parents are to be blame as well. When your child leaves and marries let them make decision that benefits their home. Draw a line. It's a story that all need to learn from. Wisdom is the principle thing and in all thy getting get wisdom. To all including myself. I love this show. I encourage my mom to watch it and she is inlove with this show. Lynn you do a fabulous job along with the other workers of this show. Keep on keeping on. Thumbs up to you guys in bringing real life stories alive that we can all appreciate and learn from. In this case it is so clear that she, Esther, would have been blessed had she submitted to her husband's decision. In her situation and at her age I probably would have done the same thing, but it would not have been the fault of the Word of God. I would have had to have disobeyed the Word of God in that instance. I am not saying a wife should always submit to a husband who beats her, etc., but when a godly man makes a decision I do believe the Word of God instructs us to submit to his decision. I am old now and it has taken me nearly a lifetime to learn the importance of obedience: FIRST to God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit and His Word. It is a blessing of the greatest love imaginable that we can then find safety in His arms, no matter what transpires in this world still (but only temporarily) run by the Adversary of all of mankind.

@@humanhomesolutions9782 Unfortunately I did not learn to be God-fearing until I became quite old. But at least now that I study the Bible and finally understand so many things I did not understand before I can try to help others understand. You CAN get a wife that is God-fearing. You must pray to God to show you who you must marry, and she must be already a follower of Christ Jesus. Dating is NOT necessary. God's will and blessing is what is necessary! Especially because today -- all over the world -- even the eyes of Christians have been darkened, because they have not developed a relationship with Jesus that includes studying the Bible for themselves (rather than just listening to a pastor). So sad to say, all too many pastors are no longer men of God, and even if they are we must trust in God first, in Christ Jesus first, so that when a pastor or church shows itself to be disobedient to God in any way you can clearly see and is not willing to repent and obey, it is important to leave that church. The TRUE church of God is the body of his true followers. We must never forget that many are called but FEW are chosen and NARROW is the path. Christ Jesus told us this Himself, and He also warned us that even those who have cast out devils using His name and who have healed using His name will NOT be allowed into the Kingdom of God. Jesus Himself told us this! It is not because they cast out devils and healed. Those are not bad things. The REASON He will say "I never knew you" will be because you did not OBEY Him. He said those people who expect to get in from their works alone (such as casting out devils and healing) did not do the most important thing, which was to OBEY God's commands. We are born with sin nature and we always want to do what WE want to do. We must learn not to say, "God knows my heart." Rather, we must learn to say, "I want to know God's heart"! I do not know how it is in Kenya or Uganda, places I have never been, but in the U.S. I have not found even one church I can support, because different churches have compromised themselves in different ways. (I am certain there MUST be a few good ones, but they are few and far between, and for most of us it is necessary to have "home church" and Bible studies, etc. so that we do not forsake assembly with other believers). May God bless you.
