Morg Lynn......thanks for sharing the positive side of Saudia coz it's a best place to be having worked there for 4 years and came out successfully...It's a matter of obedience and keeping God first in everything you do.To me Saudia was an eye opener
Hy Lynn...I was in Saudi for almost a year, but we moved to Italy with my bosses...now we are staying in Italy... cause my boss is Italian and my madam is Saudi... I hope one day when I go back home you will host me.I didn't know I will end up in Italy and my husband is on his process to come work for them as a driver..mi aki ushukuru God Kila siku ...and ur stories ndio zimekuwa zikinipa nguvu daily
I was in Saudi Arabia for 8 years, as a houseboy/driver , with two other girls (Kenyan & Philipino). I saved up all my money and bought a small land in Thika, and built my 3bedroom house, and own a hardware in Thika town, with a few smokie/eggs stalls around the colleges and streets in Thika. I NEVER regret being in Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately I can't say the same for my Kenyan female colleague. From my experience, people especially ladies, go there with little or no knowledge assuming very little and expecting too much, in little time without patience to understand what is expected of you and what you want from there. I know all employers are not the same, but even here in Kenya if I employ you and you keep dodging work and always on your phone 24/7 I will not be happy. The trick is to understand why you are there, and what's expected of you. You can NEVER compare Saudi Arabia with Dubai, where in Saudi they provide everything for you with your salary intact, while in Dubai you earn and pay up all your bills/basics with your salary. I owe my success to Saudi Arabia.
Correction not everything is provided most ladies get housing only they sleep on the floors with no blankets meals offered once in a day with a.potion for a 1year old. In saudi ladies go through a lot only when you don't work inside a house you'll see money or God provide you with loving bosses
I'm happy at least she has spoken.. Me too I have been in Saudi for 3yrs I have managed to buy a plot for my mom. I have build her a 3 bedroom house and I have opened for her a small salon.. It's possible guys as long as you know what took you there
THIS LADY CAN BE A MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER. Eti juzi kwa barabara kulikuwa na accident, will that accident make others not to drive or ride on the same road?
I came last year Dec my mum was the first one to own a washing machine in my village,a cooker, fridge and settled all her debts am so happy I choose to go there. Not every one in Saudi faces difficulties actually my employer begged me to extend my contract but I had missed home crazily. Thank you Lyn for covering this amazing story
Good attitude, good job! Wanjiru you are such an intelligent, well brought up lady. You are so right in saying we all have a responsibility of making life how we want it to be. Life gives you back what you give out. Every place in life has its good and bad bad God makes a way when you seek His counsel. Glory to God for this positive story!
This girl is so full of wisdom and she is so genuine. I also worked in Saudi for 7 years. One important thing is, you need to use a genuine agency, read and understand the contract details, and have good work ethics. Shiru, you are really a gem.
I went to Saudi Arabia in 2014,then Jordan,Bahrain and now am in Abu Dhabi, me and my sister tumejengea our mum, nimebuy plots mbili sasa nkihome ni kujenga rentals and my house to live in. Gulf has really changed our lives i thank God 🙏🙏

Sustainable projects- business eg botique; agrovet, rental houses, grade cows. Reciprocate our parents.. SAUDI LIFE FROM STORY Respect the rule of the law. Understand terms of contract well. There's still inadequate freedom.
Lynn I have been in Saudi for about 10ys years now and I have rentals like 15 and built my own house worth 2.5m and my wife is running a business and doing well.
I also went to Saudi Arabia worked for 2 Years. Saved my money came home, learned Germany language, got a family that invited me to Germany. Worked again as a House help for a year. Applied for a Nursing school, now working as a Nurse and married and having a Son. All that wouldn't have managed if I didn't go Saudi Arabia.
Team hammam mko wapii clap for this beautiful gal thank you lynn for highlighting the postive story of saudia amid the negative and heartbreaking stories we are getting frm saudia arabia
Lynn I wouldn't mind having an interview with you and showing you also what I have made from Saudi Arabia. I was there for 8 years as houseboy/driver. I live in Thika. I bought a 100/100 piece of land and built a three bedroom house. I also own a huge hardware, and 9 smokie/eggs mobile stalls around Thika colleges and streets of Thika. Saudi Arabia made me. It only requires discipline, patience and understanding what's required of you and importantly why you are there. I can NEVER compare Saudi with anywhere else , where they provide you with everything and you still have your salary intact, saving it all. I have so much to share too. I have employed 11 people in Kenya and I always make it clear. You are here to work make a successful living and not chat, spending all your time on your phone.
Much respect to the father he taught his children to be humble and look what being humble has brought to their family. We need more fathers like ths who motivate thr children . I HOPE alot of fathers have learnt something here.
It is the best thing you can think of in life. This girl transformed the life of her parents just becase she remained focused. She is the Joseph, Ruth and Esther of the bible. Those parents have every reason to thank God for giving them such children. Wow.

Beautiful story from shiru. Her elder sister was my classmate and I can attest these girls have been raised well. May your stars keep shining girls. You're blessed

Thank you so much Lynn for highlighting us on both sides about the life in gulf countries. Yea just like she said even in our own home countries there are both good and bad bosses. For those with good bosses let's learn how to appreciate them. Personally I'm a Ugandan working in AbuDhabi but if I'm to write about my boss I'd fill the whole book. 1. Our salary is always cleared by 30th every month 2. Our shopping is covered until she even buys us our local food sometimes 3. We always have breaks during day to rest 4. Once in a while she takes us to nice places all dressed well for lunch 5.She will never find you eating and tell you to get up and do something (she will be patient until you finish) and she will never let you do work while hungry even if you are out of home, you have to branch somewhere and take food...... etc. Well falling out will be there as humans because even with our loved ones (families) tunakoseyana but what matters is "making up" and knowing no matter what, that's your boss. Still those with bad bosses exist for people have different hearts.

She should say she found a lovely family because even in our own countries I have heard of wicked employers who mistreat their helps. So, lady you were lucky.
I suppose what she says about discipline is key. But you might also find an employer who is just naturally mean. At least she is one of the few success stories. She has done well for her parents and may God bless her!
This is what i want so much to do for my parents.Build them beautiful house.I don't want to go to saudia but only God knows how this will happen. Kudos girl for this great job you have done.God bless you more and more.
There is so much to learn from this Shiru. First, she has advised to those interested in going, notify your parents or involve them, parents blessings are VERY IMPORTANT. 2nd, know what you have gone there for and much more to learn actually.....
The parent's blessings and support plays the biggest role. I'm just understanding why all the siblings haven't suffered in Saudi. Is it a coincidence that they all land in the hands of good employers? I love this success story.
She also needs to acknowledge that she was lucky with humane employers. That’s the major key. An employer that treats you like a human being and allows that 2 PM afternoon rest
@@george1528 nobody said she was not hardworking. She however had the right bosses that’s all. You could be all the right things hardworking, prepared for work, right attitude with a cruel mean employer who makes your life impossible and full of frustrations which would in turn make you uncomfortable at your place of work & incapable of persevering that’s all I was trying to say. Luck of good employers also played a role in her success story.
Not every Saudi employer is bad......I worked for mine & when I arrived the following day wakati wa orientation mimi ndie nilimwambia ile masaa nastahili kulala. I just asked them; what time do I go to sleep? Wasema 12am.....I told them to calculate 9hrs to know wqhen I was supposed to wake up & we agreed at 9am. Then nikafanya job one week ndio nishike rada......I asked for 2hrs each day during the day for rest. They had 2 kids, 5yrs & 3yrs & we settled on 4pm - 6pm daily. So its not as bad as people make it appear......
True, she found a good family. I've read stories of families that overwork their employees. One is made to work in more than one home with very few hours of rest (sleep), food ni shida and when the employee complains, she's beaten and if she dares run away she gets into more trouble.
Thank for sharing your positive experience about Saudi. I have to admit I have been hating on this place because the only stories I heard about it were terrifying until your experience was aired. I think your major attributes saved you.. you as a character, you seem humble, understanding, kind, down to earth, authentic, someone with goals and perspective in general, and most of all you’re God fearing. And that whole as a package my dear, is a gem! Keep up with being you and doing you plus praying.. your future is bright💚 I liked when lyn said “unajua sai wewe ni pioneer!” That wasn’t a lie😉
That's true... This lady have represented many families... Like ours.. It all started with my big brother then my sister and i and together we are united and we keep winning in everything we partner together by God's grace. Gulf its a life changer to many.
Thank u for showing positive side of working in gulf countries . I also manged to buy land , build a house for my mum and am still working . People should learn to have patient hearts cos we all find challenges but we keep pushing ,strong , focused and we over come them . No Gain without pain that's my motto whenever I wake up and going to sleep . And I always thank God for making me strong every day.
Congrats Mary for the good work you and your siblings have done for papa and mama. Humility and integrity can only take you so far!!! Much love and many blessings!

Congratulations Shiro for the successful story about Saudi.Am also in Saudi and also with a successful story. This is my 6th year.First time I came to Saudi was the year 2012to 2015.Then 2019 my boss called me and insisted I come back to their house and work for them,I came back and am still working for them at Jeddah. For those of us in Saudi....if you are in a good family and their is a job vacancy at their relatives and they are good connect your friends.Thats what I have been doing.Tumejaza kijiji Huku and we are all in contract and God willing there are some 2ladies traveling to come to Saudi by next week.Saudi is all that Shiro has said.Prayers, discipline and working hard.

I watched this story in 2021 and she's the one who inspired to come in Saudi, Santi sana sister wanjiku nilikuchart nikiwa Nairobi and you told me nijaribu bahati yangu nisiogope now in Saudi for 4yrs though am Akeboi but I thank God for his protection,,always be positive and everything will be okay🙏🙏🙏
Finally someone has talked my mind out, I was in Saudi for more than 10 years and I can't complain. As she has said, work hard, be smart and clean, that's all what it takes.Adding honesty and friendly..
I am one person who has never encouraged any one to go to Saudi but i am glad to hear a positive story. its majorly discipline and hard work, that is a point our young girls who go there should note. That's a great point that applies even to house helps we hire locally in our countries.
Bottomline, she got a good employer, and she is a nice person too. Some people just get really bad employers. She also had a very supportive family back at home.
I have a lady also l know who was working in Saudi Arabia and she has built for her parents 3 bedroom beautiful house. Another one l know she works in Saudi and everytime her bosses go for holiday in the USA they go with her. There are those who have found good in the Gulf.

She should say she found a lovely family because even in our own countries I have heard of wicked employers who mistreat their helps. So, lady you were lucky.
Everything is possible when you trust the Lord.. I love this story
I know this lady she is telling the truth
At last we have positive feedback maze ,thank you Lynn
I suppose what she says about discipline is key. But you might also find an employer who is just naturally mean. At least she is one of the few success stories. She has done well for her parents and may God bless her!
I love Mary's spirit and optimism.God bless you,God bless Lynn
Very focused, intelligent and hardworking girl. This is what is required in life .a very inspiring story.
What an inspiration story, congratulations Ciru, you and your siblings made your parents proud 👏
Kudos to the parents Who brought up well mannered kids thats why they never get in to trouble in Saudi!
I think that is a very wrong and twisted idea to blame victims of mistreatment and torture of being I'll mannered

Parental blessings.
Parents have the Authority to cover their children.
Its called Parental cover
Saudi inataka tu discipline. U can't do good, be good na uchapwe ama uteswe. Am here 6years now.
I wish all our girls who are in Gulf countries could listen this and be motivated👌💪
She also needs to acknowledge that she was lucky with humane employers. That’s the major key. An employer that treats you like a human being and allows that 2 PM afternoon rest
Sio. Wengi wanapata bosses wazuri
She also seems to be hardworking, and having right attitude.
I don't think it would be the same if she was lazy
She just said my story
She was just lucky to have worked in a good family
Wrong mentally
Yes..we can't say hao wote huumizwa/die ni lazy..it's a mix of Hardwork and finding a good home
Aseme tu alipata nyumba mzuri si warabu wote ni wazuri bt huarabuni nikujipanga tu NA bidii yako

Keep up with being you and doing you plus praying.. your future is bright💚
I liked when lyn said “unajua sai wewe ni pioneer!” That wasn’t a lie😉
