It's a good thing you mentioned early on that the video was going to be short. I was worried it was going to be the longest video in the series. I would recommend replacing Lucky with Hunting Jacket. That way you could put 2nd Press Pass under it and have it make YOU money. Hunting jacket is a game changer that can even make Darryel playable
Lola is the only investigator that arguably gets worse the bigger the cardpool gets. Her ability is that she has access to every color, to allow for the strengths of all of them and for combo. That just matters less and less the more every color gets to do that with just 0-5 in that color. And unlike lola they actually get to play 4-5 too and use all the card on board/hand in a given turn.
I would just like to mention lvl 2 Unearth the Ancients in regards to the test at 0 archetype. Since it's an investigate and doesn't say "instead of discovering clues" like its lvl 0 counterpart you can use it to play lvl 1 Magnifying Glass for an easy Shed a Light at any location regardless of shroud. It's a bit janky and you don't really save any play actions or resources like you're supposed to with Unearth the Ancients, but Darrell can combine it with his ability and/or Gumption to actually play cards, making it potentially really high tempo if you have the draw to find the combo in the first place.
I'm literally the worst at finding "starts the game with" on investigator cards. First few scenarios with Diana I didn't have her signature in my opening hand, the standalone I played with Darrell I didn't start with Kodak in play. His weakness blasted me.
It's good. I personally prefer more universally useful draw that can be shared with my teammates, and I don't like having conditions on my draw. It's good enough that cutting other draw for it will not make your deck worse and it's very much dealer's choice.
When I say Dark Horse, I'm more generally referring to the "0 Money Archetype" than anything else. Dark Horse as a permanent is definitely a late game bells and whistles card worth picking up though. I just don't think the stat pump with such good base stats is worth the card slot before then.
The one and only time I played Darrel it was a difficulty zero list in Scarlet Keys. I just openly laughed at the chaos bag full of -5s. I definitely want to try a dropper list though, especially after watching my friend have a blast with clue-dropper Daisy. (The name of the deck was Whoopsie-Daisy.) P.S. I've been loving these videos, man. As a side note, however, in all these decklists, I've noticed a distinct lack of Backpack(2). Even today, you want Press Pass and Research Notes? Why not bring a handy pack? I guess I'm kind of a slut for that card. If I'm running 2+ items that are vital to my plan, I pretty much always take one. Am I overvaluing it? Please advise.
@@griffinlobster I think a ton of people overvalue Backpack 2, while I simultaneously undervalue it. To be more helpful, in super high draw decks you can assemble lists, like this one, that don't necessarily need to spend exp and resources on a tutor when you can just draw your whole deck. Additionally, draw cards are always good. Backpack 2 is a much worse top deck when you're already set up than other draw options. Backpack 2 should probably see more play than I give it, but I tend to see that Backpack 2 is good in a deck and either 1) create redundancies for the super important cards or 2) add in draw that will always be good. I have had 1 too many experiences drawing Backpack last and hitting a completely dead card, and far too many where just cramming in good draw cards found me what I needed fast enough.
I view parallels as deckbuilding options since there are 4 combinations of vanilla/parallel and it's too much to rank them all individually. I don't think parallel Agnes is stronger than vanilla Agnes, so I've got her ranked according to those deckbuilding options.

A shrine of moirai in place of lucky would be disgusting. Alter fate lv 3 is also one of my favourite survivor events.

Have you ever tried Captivating Discovery? I think it's a great clue droping enabler and is much better drawing cards because you see 6 instead of 3

I noticed that Cluever Dark Horse Darrell doesn't actually has Dark Horse. I suppose that do could be the following 5 xp, huh?

No Parallel Agnes on your tier list?

Is Darrell intentionally misspelled? Double Barrel Darrel (two .18s)?
It's one of the spellings of Darrel. Not sure which ones are from where regionally.
