Have stayed here a couple of times (2006 and 2009) looks pretty much as I remember it! Always had a pleasant stay for ridiculously good value so can’t really understand the negative reviews tbh!
Love this mate hopefully you can start a venture on the worst hotels in the uk plus b&bs on sea fonts as they usually tend to be run down and seen better days
I have just had a four night stay. I was very happy with it. Room similar to the video. I didn't have a lamp. Linen fresh. Bed average. Slept OK. I loved the Dining Room. Discreet staff, hovering in the background. Occasionally my plate was removed whilst still eating dessert, but overall this probably helped to the efficency of the dining experience. My biggest gripe is the security system. The key/ cards to get into hall and room cancel if near keys or phones. Had to traipse back down to reception on three days. Back into a queue, although not a long wait. I intend to return next year, because I enjoyed my stay. Cost of £58 per night, with a good breakfast and dinner, in my opinion can't be beaten for a basic hotel.
I stayed here around 5/6 years ago with my family who are elderly and had a cute and nice time. It was very basic but great views of sandy beaches as we were on one of the top floors. There was a show on in the evening very phonix nights vibe, and a bingo. We had such a laugh. Defo not the worst hotel i've stayed in, ive stayed in much worst when backpacking in my 20s 😂. Its not The Ritz but its also not Hotel Paradiso eather. Its defo for an older crowd.
Great room review! We agree that it only needs some small changes. Matress protector and bigger TV is a must. We have really enjoyed watching your video and have subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching your future content 😊
Within the first 1.5 mins I can tell you now this isn’t the worst hotel in the uk. If you want to go to the worst go to the London road hotel in stroud Gloucestershire. This hotel is like Buckingham palace compared to the London road hotel in stroud and I am not exaggerating.
I stayed here in feb with my friend to attend a concert our twin room was nice clean extra tea & coffee we also had lovely fluffy fleecy blanket s in the wardrobe they were both packed in a plastic zipped bag our room was lovely & warm for the price I paid was a good little room bathroom dated but clean I’ve been I worse hotels breakfast in the morning was worth the money and you can use the pool
Im staying here friday and Saturday this week for my cousins wedding its 200 cheaper than the premier all my family are staying at looks semi decent for what it is its a brittania hotel and what dont brittania do look after things 😂 but barely going to be in the hotel so meh see how it goes Turns out it wasn't bad bit grimey in some places stayed in room 615 lots of construction at the back and 6th floor balcony was held on by cable ties but not bad folkestone is lovely
I used to work in the hotel a bit down the beach from the burstin hotel, the Hythe Imperial hotel. Lovely looking for the guests. But if you worked where I worked, stillroom / kitchen, it was horrible. A lot of bullying went on, I was one victim. Mr scrag the hotel manager was a real Hitler horrible man
It’s a beautiful area and costs like 40-60 a night for 2 people so cheap want somewhere better then pay more should been updated but really good standard hotel cheap for the uk especially Folkestone
My god i saw this thumbnail and felt so weird cause it looked so ugly and yet so memorable and then I clocked my aunt used to live near here so when I visited her as a kid this hotel fucking traumatised me
I think Britannia used this hotel to house the illegal immigrants and the have wisely spent the money they received from the government to refurbish it?

We’ve booked to stay in July on the way to France, £39/night. We’re not expecting The Ritz

I am one of those 1 star reviews. Stayed in 2020, in the main building.
It was RAMMED and as bad as everyone is making out. Honestly, biblically bad

Hah went there for a bachelor’s weekend. Felt like something out of the Shining.

Very fair critique

Its been a while since i got a notification for one of your videos.
thanks for watching, hope you are well!
We loved grand bursten went over Xmas lovely
I stayed in a much worse place in downtown LA for triple the price
At least you’ve got a balcony though win win
It’s a beautiful area and costs like 40-60 a night for 2 people so cheap want somewhere better then pay more should been updated but really good standard hotel cheap for the uk especially Folkestone
We stopped there for a few days an had no complaints for the price, we did B&B and thought it we good value.
Hello postie how are you mate, its been a while since you posted.
Yes doing well, doing some travel type videos for a little while. Hope you are well too!
Im off there next week. If its that bad why is it still running
You should check out if you haven't already the grand hotel at Scarborough dreadful place probably fantastic in its hey day but not now
Last year got coved in bed bug bites
Reminds me of the apartments in Silent Hill 2. 😬
My mum used to work there and she hated it
I have a bit a soft spot for this place. It looks like it’s been done up a bit.
I’ve stayed in a lot worse in London
Yes definitely wasn’t as bad as the reviews. Thanks for watching.
Let me know which hotels to avoid in London 👍
Most hotels in UK are the same
My grandad went there and I always go there swimming
Have you heard of the Adelphi?🤣
It is on the list to visit :D
My god i saw this thumbnail and felt so weird cause it looked so ugly and yet so memorable and then I clocked my aunt used to live near here so when I visited her as a kid this hotel fucking traumatised me
Sorry to bring back those memories, but thanks for watching!
Gedung yang megah
Terrible hotel
Great reviews then,😢
Isn’t this review at least 20yrs old? It’s always had a terrible reputation
I think Britannia used this hotel to house the illegal immigrants and the have wisely spent the money they received from the government to refurbish it?
That's nice..???
Folkestone has been taken over by immigrants 😅
I believe it's got lots of immigrants.
Try millions !!!
You believe a load of nonsense then, nope no immigrants in the hotel and it isn't that bad
Just construction workers staying while I was there, but it was very quiet overall. No coach trips or immigrants, very quiet.
