I can't believe I've worked at Discord for almost a year and a half now 😳 It was definitely time for a change. This change has been a quite bittersweet. It started when my manager told me he decided to leave the company (he'd been there for like 4 years now) to build a game. I legit started crying in that call because he's been an incredible manager to me. For his last week, I flew up to SF to send him off along with the rest of the PM crew. With all that's happening in tech, I find these moments of meaningful sendoffs and proper closing of chapters to be incredibly rare and precious. I hope this brings good vibes to you today if you're going thru it!
I'm pumped for my next chapter as well and can't wait to bring you along with me. Don't wanna spoil it, but this is exciting!! :)

The moment I had that situation was buying my wife a brand new car, outright. I felt like I made it. I was financially stable, I was able to buy something nice for her. She was happy with the purchase. Etc. Props.

haha yes i go there all the time! it's a great location. i almost lived in the complex that's right above it.
i honestly don't know where my sunglasses come from. my mom just gets random ones she finds and gives it to me. o_o they usually don't have a brand too. it's probably a dupe from some bigger brand!

haha of course it is very awkward. i always have to find a safe place to do it. getting a gopro helped a lot though. it made filming far less obvious!
