I can't believe how great this mic sounds on your speaking voice. For dialogue, I can tell this mic would sound just as good (but I think better) than the U87ai (again, for voiceover work)...plus less noise. Man, the top end is just beautiful and the bottom is so full and flattering. Nice!
Yes! It's a beautiful sound mic Paul. To be honest, I can't believe how great this microphone. I expected it to have the professional standard of clarity and detail but it has a great sound to it man. Thanks for dropping by brother.

I'm interested in JZ's V67 and Amethyst. From comparisons that I've heard the Amethyst has a slightly smoother top end.

Wanted to ask if this mic is making you sound slightly nasal? It sounds really rich but more nasal than your U87. If what I'm hearing is accurate and considering the mics natural frequency graph, does the mic take eq well?

Oh 100%... This is definitely an option that you can use for years on pretty much any kind of vocals. With rap vocals, this will bring out the crystal clear top end and low end in the vocals. Also, congratulations on the first studio as well. I hope this helps.

I just sold mine. It was really really good. I only sold because I want the Lewitt Tube Mic.

On female vocals
in the netherlands can i pick it up for €619,- (664 Dollar) it its just over my budget (€500-€550). But i thinking to get one of these. normally will it cost €1133 here in the Netherlands. but it is hard to choose my first Studio microphone.
Compared to the previous mic reviewed I feel like I hear resonance around 1 to 2K that I do not like.
I see. It's all about preference brother. I tend to hate that 1k-2k resonance when I mic up pianos (grands but uprights are ok with the 1k-2k resonance). Some of my engineer partners prefer it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

when you do your videos on artists vocal chains and you say the go straight into pro tools. You never say how they gain stage or bypass the interface. Do they use an Apollo? Do they use Apollo line gain? Do they by pass the line gain? You never gave the complete vocal chain including how the interface is set. So we can’t get a complete picture of the vocal chain. Exactly how is the interface used in the chain?
Hey what's up? I've mentioned in a few of them that they use the Apollo and some console to Apollo when that information is available. As I stated in my vocal chain video series, we want to highlight the capturing part of the vocal chain pre everything. Mic, preamp, compressor or channel strip. But the good news is, I'm in the process of building the conversion and importance of converters & interfaces series spinoff of the vocal chain series. I hope this clear things up 🙌🏾

Even when you go through your vocal chain to let us viewers know exactly how to set up the preamp,compressor, EQ, and interface with all the specifications that you use in order for us to achieve the same results. I think that sounds very well but for vocals TLM 102 o 103 sounds better than this microphone
This is definitely a great microphone. I also own TLM 102, 103 and U87 Ai, which I stand by them. With that being said, my preference, the V67 is fuller, hotter and warmer than transformer-less 102 and 103. It's all preference tho. What I'm happy to hear is that you sound like you found the perfect microphones for your vocals. What genre are you recording the 102-103 with? Female or male vocals? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
The 102 is a good budget mic but the 103 and u87 is definitely better, I had the 102 and took it back and spent a little bit more and got the 103, im so glad I did but there are so many better mics out there. I bought the slate digital vms1 modeling mic that came with a pre amp that was cheaper then my 103 but it was the best $1100 I have spent. If I had to get rid of one, it would be the TLM 103.👌🏾
@@archiebeatz I use TLM3 an TLM 102 for male vocals and sounds grate but the V67 sounds very well too, I think could be a great video if you can compare this microphone vs the most popular vocal microphones. You always make the best videos 😉👍
